3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Red Spiral Slouchy Beret - NOW WITH LINK TO FREE PATTERN!!! on: January 05, 2008 05:53:30 PM
Weird...it just worked when I clicked on it. I'll try to redo it.

EDIT: I just redid it but it's the same link...please let me know if it still doesn't work for you. Thanks.

THANKS for the pattern, I'm psyched!  Just a thought: change the Title of the post to include "now with pattern on page 2".
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ribbed Legwarmer HELP please! on: December 04, 2007 07:34:00 PM
You're welcome!  I can't wait to see how they turn out on the finished projects board! Smiley

Well...I'm making EIGHT pairs, as a Thank You gift for my students. I guess I should post them individually, lol.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ribbed Legwarmer HELP please! on: December 04, 2007 06:00:56 PM
AHHH!  THANK YOU so much!  Holy brain fart. :-)

I wish I could knit these in the round, but alas...not enough cast ons and I don't know how to use dpns. Anyway, thanks!
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Ribbed Legwarmer HELP please! on: December 04, 2007 05:46:31 PM
Ok, here it is. I thought I'd give this board a whirl.

I'm knitting a ribbed legwarmer and the pattern states to cast on 27 and (k2,p1) for all rows. So obv it's 3x9 = 27 to come to that cast on, but here's the thing...I cast on 30 b/c the person I'm making them for has large calves and thicker ankles than I do...and I've now knit 3 rows and it doesn't look right, the stitches aren't matching up. I am exhausted which is why I can't tap into this BASIC idiotic question, but can someone please offer me help??? Shouldn't it work out correctly? I am so frustrated that I can't figure out this BASIC MATH!

THANKS! OH...I should mention that I want to do a mattress stitch seaming to join edges so I need a stitch at the edge that will have the inner "bar".

My first thought was some reference to the three wise men. Yours is better tho.
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Lavender Bolero (Fixed broken photo links) on: November 28, 2007 09:29:15 PM
Thanks again, jienee. Of course, I emailed the pic of it to my mother before I started working on it (tomorrow) and she just replied that it does not cover the stomach so it's not really good. And here I thought the angle of the ruffle would create a slimming line, though it doesn't cover the stomach directly. ANNOYING...I really wanted to make it for her. Nonetheless, I appreciate your help.

OH, I LOVE IT! Thanks for fixing the pic links, it was worth it! Cheesy  I like it BETTER than the one on the Moda Dea site with the pattern!  That one has the front lace overlapping, which was a concern. Yours is BEAUTIFUL! I am DEFINITELY making this. THANKS SO MUCH!!!

EDIT: Sorry, one question. I just read in your comment here that it stretches quite a bit. My mother is a 36D bra size (sure she'd love me announcing that, lol) and I'll be using LB Cotton Ease (in Charcoal, just FYI, not that it matters for gauge)...do you recommend I make the Medium size as well?
