While shopping at my favorite secret vintage store, I found 2 old polyester pieces of not quite finished quilt pieces. I could put them together and make a big blanket, BUT its polyester, so its not that soft. I am looking for alternative ideas for using these pieces. Here is what the two pieces look like,

One is bigger than the other, you can see the seem of where I put them together. I could make a quilt out of it, but just use it for a play blanket for picnics and such outside. I wanted to make a skirt/jumper for myself, but scared of the sweatiness of polyester. What else could I make? I just know theres a great idea out there for this little gem I found...oh yea, and it only cost a dollar a piece, so 2 bucks total. Score!

Now painted white...because its the only color I had on hand, but I luv the way it turned out!

These are some more "green" ideas for baby onesies that are unisex. Simple but sweet.

Well, it was a bountiful morning indeed...I had to show off what I picked out of my garden this morning.....I am so excited...MY 1st WATERMELON!  I just picked/and showed my first cantaloupe, and theres at least 5 more medium sized, and lots more baby watermelons, too. To help identify the items, in front of the watermelon are 2 white eggplant, and in front of those are 3 lemon cucumbers(small and round and DEELISH) and all round the sides, as you can guess are good ole regular cucumbers, and last (and least) are some Dragons Tongue Beans...I've been eating tons of these, and they are great! They loose the color purple when you cook them, but still taste great. There aren't very many here because I had to come in because of the mosquito's eating me alive!

Guess its time to make the tabouli!

I bought this table for 3 bucks at one of my favorite thrift stores a few months back, and finally got arond to doing a mosaic on it. I ended up doing both of the levels in almost the same pattern and colors. Plus, I sanded it and painted it black. I also used a glass sealer on top of it when I finished the grout. Check it out! Revised- NOW painted white!

I stitched these up last night for myself. They are unisex since I don't know the sex of my baby yet. (I find out in 3 weeks) I used the veggies from the I Luv Veggies set from SS, and the letters are from the Stitch It Kit from SS.
