1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / my first knit pattern: a skirt on: October 06, 2007 08:23:28 AM

This is my first knit pattern. I used to knit patterns from knitty.com or berroco's site till today. The skirt is made from 4 panels. Then I picked sts from top side of each panel and continued to knit back and forth. The balloon shape is given by the increases at lower side and decreases toward waist. I decorated the skirt with a crochet edge.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / skirt pattern deeply needed FINALLY I MADE MY FIRST PATTERN on: September 25, 2007 05:36:16 AM

Today I found in my LYS this gorgeous discounted yarn and bought 7 balls (each ball is 50 gr and 88 yds; 85%acrylic, 15%mohair). I need a skirt but couldn't find a pattern to appeal to me. I would really appreciate if you could recommend a nice FREE skirt pattern. Hope I don't ask too much ...  Wink

I want to start designing my own kniwear. Which book would you recommend me to start with? "Knitting without tears" by E.Z. or "Knitting in the old way" by P.G.R?

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Latoya summer tank from berroco (FREE pattern link) on: July 11, 2007 11:18:56 PM

It was a fast and easy knit. The tank is very stretchable. I knit the smallest size and I used YarnArt merino stretch yarn.
