21  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / striped window valance & matching pillow on: May 13, 2007 09:16:12 AM
my cousin's having a baby and they're not finding out the sex beforehand. she picked out this somewhat gender neutral fabric and asked if i'd make a window valance for the nursery. first time, pattern-free project. not too difficult. i also made a matching pillow. luckily our bedroom is close to the same color of the nursery so you can get a general idea of what it's going to look like in place. thanks for looking.

22  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / memory boxes on: May 12, 2007 03:28:38 PM
this is the first time i've posted a completed project with photos so bare with me.

the inspiration:

this is a box my dad made for my grandma many years ago and i recently found when clearing out her house.

here's my take on the memory box. one i made for my grandpa and all the little trinkets each of the grandkids got when he died, the buttons and other pins are from my grandma's box. the other is for my husband's mom who passed 7 years ago. i used buttons and other notions from her sewing room. let me know what you think! and bare with me if the photos don't show. i'm such a newbie! thanks!! i just read and i can't post photos til i hit 10 posts...i'm working on it. here's the link
