1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Completed Projects / my new fun gocco !! on: November 17, 2004 05:07:56 PM
I just bought a print gocco, and I'm having so much fun with it.  I'm making prints of my artwork, and all kinds of other stuff for my soon to be made website, to sell in galleries when I have shows, and for a craft fair I'm doing in Oakland in December.

This guy is a three screen print.  I printed it in layers.  The first one is the orange square, next was sort of a blob that is the shape of the little critter, and the blue branches, and the third screen was the black outline.

What do you guys think?  They're printed on lovely thick creamy paper, and I was thinking of selling them for $8-$12.00
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / framing embroidery on: July 25, 2004 09:20:20 PM
I recently got two pieces of my embroidery accepted for a show in an art gallery, and I am racking my brains trying to figure out the best way to frame them.  Glass or no glass?  Stretched over board or stretcher bars?    Any advice?
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Easy Stencilled Skirt Reconstruction on: July 19, 2004 05:10:34 PM
Here's my first craftster post.  I found this mini skirt at the thrift store, and I loved the color, but I can't wear mini skirts, so I sewed an 8" strip of sheer black fabric to the lining of the original skirt, and used black fabric paint to add the stencil of the bird and stars.  The stencil part came out a bit blurred, but not bad.  I might add a little ruffle to the bottom if I get ambitious.
