12  Mary Jane Lounge Slippers - House Shoes :) - Lotsa Pics in Shoes: Completed Projects by Pink*Marshmallow on: December 17, 2008 04:16:08 AM
I already make things for babies, but wanted to try something for big girls and mommies, too.  I drafted the pattern and came up with these last night.

I will tread the bottoms with paint, so they will be no-slip. They have a padded insole and the vamp has an elasticized strap to keep them on...um...what else....topstitched, no exposed seams...I haven't trimmed all the threads yet...

What do you think?

I have been working my tail off.  What do you think of these?  They are all in my daughter's size, and she has already been wearing them.  Thank goodness I got a picture first. ....I cannot get the zebra ones off her feet!!  She might sleep in 'em...LOL!!

14  Some new deco'd mary janes for Halloween! (Lots o' images) in Shoes: Completed Projects by Pink*Marshmallow on: September 26, 2008 12:30:36 PM
I love making these.  I took a break for a little while and made clothing instead, but i think my heart is with..um..feet?  Smiley

The straps are new for me, as I used elasticized straps as opposed to the ribbons I used before.

Tell me what you think.

Can I tell you how much I love making these little kimono sets?  AAAAAAAAAAAACK!! I LOVE THEM!!

My model is the most adorable little person.  The brown with pink floral is something I had here just WAITING for the perfect thing to use it for.  I think I found it Smiley  THe elastic-topped shoes are new for me - I usually use satin ribbon.  Her mommy made the bow for her to match Smiley

18  Skunks..and rabbits...and Racoons...Oh MY! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Pink*Marshmallow on: August 11, 2008 08:29:09 PM
I just created this cutie patootie little set with some adorable thin-wale cord that I picked up at Joanns.  I LOVE IT!  I also made a white SS peasant top, added ric-rac at the waist with dangley little appliques and VOILA!  I'm so proud of me.  It is from a pattern that I bought on YCMT!  IT rocks.  Of course I had to make my signature Mary Jane Shoes Wink My pics are horrid, but my bedroom has 'mood lighting'...ha!  Will take better ones tomorrow, but I have to show it off!

What do you think?

19  Re: Dressy sandals out of flip flops?? in Shoes: Discussion and Questions by Pink*Marshmallow on: August 11, 2008 07:40:50 AM
Hi Smiley
I'm not sure that you can transform them into another type shoe, but it is very classy and chic to put a simple black bow at the front that has a rhinestone sparkley slide as the center.  Sort of like this....
