I know everyone has seen my awesome package from mindboggld, but I wanted a chance to gush!

First of all, these handcarved stamps:

I LOVE hand carved stamps! I just can't wrap my head around these fabulous things.

Close up of each:

Sorry for the crappy photo quality, mom borrowed her camera back from me so I'm stuck with their old one until someone takes pity on me and buys one!  Cheesy

The amazing notecards:

I've already written two cards on them!

Cybermen tote. Seriously? I'm completely in love. I *almost* don't want to take it to class, since I'm afraid of messing it up. But only almost.  Grin

Modeling in my dirty mirror:

And now, the thing that makes my bed happy.

The angels are just waiting to stick me in another time. Oh Noes! (maybe I'll dream of life in the renaissance. *wistful sigh*)

Close up of the pillows:

I tried to get a close up of the embroidery, but the fiddly camera ran out of batteries. Grumble grumble. *kicks something*

Thank you SO. MUCH. Mindboggld! I love it all!

Okay you guys, check out this INSANE amount of awesome that came from KLKing!

Sorry, I haven't got much of a group shot, I was losing light and in a hurry. I also would apologize for being so photo heavy, but its so worth it!

First off, this REALLY cool CD case turned recipe book:

There are several recipes in there, as well as links to other recipes and dog resources, and its too cute!

She also included supplies to modify the case:

Scrapbook paper, additional pages, beads, ribbon, embroidery floss, other little paper crafts (funny, the paper in the bottom of the stack-its kind of hard to see- was the paper on the walls in our dining room when I was little!). She even put in the colors of cora's fur, in case I got ambitious enough to stitch my little pupper. You can also see the cute little hair clip in the bottom right. I couldn't get a decent action shot of this for the life of me, cause cora just shakes it off as soon as I stick it in her hair.  Roll Eyes

An adorable little photo magnet:

I can't wait to put her picture in here! I think I'll give it to my BF as a present. He recently moved several hours away and misses her a lot, so this is perfect!

And the CUTEST leash and collar:

I'm not sure why she said she messed it up, it looks perfect to me!

Cora loves it too:

Next up, the cutest little sweater:

It has a C sewn on it, for Cora. So adorable!

Cora's never worn clothes before, so I was really surprised by how calm she was about the whole thing:

The hood's too small, but I'm not too sure how she'd take to wearing one anyway. :.)

Here's a shot of the inside, just so you guys can see how well made everything is:

SO professional!

And the silliest little neck ruffle:

I seriously giggled the whole time I was opening my package. Its all so cute, and not something I'd ever do for her myself so it was awesome!

Especially this thing. It even lights up!

Ok, this is my absolute favorite thing, and I laughed for days when I put it on her...

Seriously, I cannot get over this thing. I want one my size! Cora loves it too:

Here are some close ups of the ruffles, cause they're just too darn perfect to not get them:

And then I put her in the whole shebang, which made her rather unhappy:

She didn't try to pull it off, but she wasn't having fun! Probably cause it's a surprisingly warm day.

This is the best halloween costume ever, and I'm totally making her wear the tutu for everything (christmas, dinner parties, etc).

Thanks so much KLKing, you have been such an amazing partner!

The End

Here are a couple of pictures of my cora-lou:

Just laying on the floor while I cook. This is how we spend most of our life.

we like to go hiking at Kisatchie National Park (its really close and a lot of fun!), and this time we went down to the bayou. She had a stick about four times the length of her body and was playing fetch in the water, and when it came time to get out she "dried off" in the sand. She was so filthy!

I'll PM you about the rest.  Smiley

I'm so glad you liked it all, pixie! I do have a couple of pics of the necklace, and a better one of the pincushion too. It was my first foray into polymer clay, and I think you've awoken a beast!

Here they are:

Everyone's packages look great so far! I am especially in awe of the GORGEOUS stained glass pieces! I've always been very envious of those who can make something so pretty out of glass.

Anyway, I received my fantastic package from pixieval early sunday morning, and have totally been resting on my laurels/neglecting to take pictures. SO without further ado:

Here's the whole package together:

Wine glasses. There are quotes on one, and the names of the cast and noteworthy villains on the other.

The bronze coffee mugs! I thought these were so appropriate, since they're always drinking coffee at the bronze. Plus, my roommate has like a zillion coffee cups and I had just one (it says new orleans in rainbow colors- i've had it longer than i can remember). Now my coffee mug isn't lonely!

A couple of necklaces. The strings at the bottom have glue on them, so they stick out at crazy angles. I'm putting the spike and buffy one on my rear view mirror!

I didn't get a picture, but they have quotes on the back. Very cool!

Shiny stones, which is really funny because I was drooling over them saturday night in a store.

Really cool buffy magnets! Pixie, are these from some sort of printable magnetic sheets? Way cool.

My faves:

Aaaaannnnnddddddd *drumroll*

I'd mentioned to pixie that I don't use purses, but like to have a ton of bags to carry my books to class in and this is PERFECT!!! Unfortunately the liner made it a bit too small for my binder, so I'm about to remove it. Its just way too cool to not use!

Check out this awesome embroidery. I really can't get over this. And photobucket won't rotate it. It says it did on the site, but the link isn't flipped. Oh well, turn your head sideways and thank me for giving you exercise!

Feeble attempt at an action shot

Better look at the liner. Didn't realize it was fuzzy until just now... Whoops! Cute little peeping eyes. So adorable!

Thanks SO MUCH Pixieval for being such an awesome partner/organizer. I've had so much fun crafting and receiving for this swap!

7  Re: Bead Soup Swap - Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by olive_juice on: September 02, 2009 09:52:49 AM
Here's my package from wyokrista:

They are predominately plastics, but the topmost beads are clay, and to the left is a bone on a pin. There are also a few metal findings and charms, and a string of seed beads. The two small pendants look like sea glass, and i think the smaller beads on the bracelet are glass as well.

Here are pictures of the jewelry I sent to WYOKrista and Creativechick8:

No pictures of creativechick's soup, but i followed her wishes and sent glass, metal, and "funky vintage plastic."

Woo, I have received from peihan! Onto the goodies:

Here's a group shot of all the beads.

Close up of my favorites. She said the fused glass pendant was made by a friend of hers. It looks so pretty!

Fish. I thought it was funny because I just sent my fish off in this swap, too. Maybe the fish are speaking to me...

Clay buttons. I think she made these?

Stone chips. What kind are they? They're really pretty!

I just thought these clasps were really unique. I've never seen anything like them.

Aaaannnnnnddddddd my crafted item:

Ta-Da! Isn't it goooorgeous? I can't wait to wear it out!

Thanks peihan, this was fun! I motion for a round three, post-haste!

I just received from noooitaremybirthday, and I love everything! She did a fantastic job, and pegged my taste perfectly. Onto the pictures:

Here are all the goodies together. A pair of arm warmers/fingerless gloves with a sweet embroidered bird applique, a little crow atc, shrinky dink necklace, and a handcarved birdie stamp in a little origami box!

Necklace. Aren't the charms just the sweetest thing? I'm so wearing this to class on monday!

Great little atc! Its my first atc ever, and i serendipitously bought an entire box of frames for .50 at a garage sale today, and one is the perfect size!

Can you believe this stamp? It's so tiny and perfect, and I've wanted my own handcarved stamp for ages! Noo, did you do this by hand?

And finally, the AMAZING and comfy fingerless gloves! I absolutely love them, and can't wait til it gets cold. I'm kind of a glove fiend, but I love to ride my bike everywhere and gloves+bicycle are trouble. These are the perfect solution!  The hand part is a bit big though, any idea if i can shrink them?

Action shot!

Thanks so much, noooitaremybirthday! You totally made my weekend.

10  Re: Keychain Wallets in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by olive_juice on: August 08, 2009 10:19:35 AM
Thanks, everyone! I'm so glad they've been so well-received. To be honest I was nearly convinced they were s***.

Here's another one I made for a friend of mine. She requested a button rather than snaps (she has snap-related issues):

I apologize about the reddish hue. To give a more accurate idea, the inside is black, and the button is a pearl white. It's a red and tan toille, and my mom actually liked this one! Go figure.
