1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: A Little Piece of Embroidery on: July 21, 2009 02:15:27 PM
I think it's great!  It's from Super Smash Brothers, right?  Yay geeky embroidery!

That's adorable!  I like the leaf all wrapped up with the lembas, but I love the leaf all spread out!  So pretty!
3  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Penguin Stuffie FREE PATTERN LINK! on: April 05, 2009 04:52:04 PM
Hello everyone!  My sister and I made this little plush penguin and I thought I would share.  I wanted a little plush penguin for my story I am writing about the penguin explorer Drake Cook, and my sister helped me make this little guy.  She said I could share the pattern with everyone, so I wanted to share it with you guys!  Let me know what you guys think!

There is a free pattern for these little guys over at my blog, Portrait of a Penguin.  If anyone ends up making one, be sure to share the pictures!  I would love to know that someone out there is making these cute little guys!
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Penguin Monk Embroidery! on: March 21, 2009 07:55:43 PM
Thanks guys!  I'm glad everyone likes it.  Yes, it's my own design (well, my boyfriends design, I asked for a penguin and a tree and this is what I got!) and I just traced it with a pencil--which you can still kind of see, oops!  Anyway, I think I'm going to leave the penguin open, but it's just for fear of messing the whole thing up.  I'm definitely going to make another penguin embroidery with the crayon fill method and satin stitch method and see which one I like better.

Thanks again guys!  I'm glad you like it.  I figured, who doesn't like penguins, right?  Yay penguins!
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Penguin Monk Embroidery! on: March 21, 2009 04:25:16 PM
Hey everyone!  I thought I would share my latest creation, my penguin monk embroidery.  I'm really proud of him, this was my first real embroidery project!

I think the tree is my absolute favorite part.  I love the way the little root curls around the hillside.

Do you think I need to fill in the black parts on the penguin?  I kind of like the openness of the way it looks now, but it's still kind of nagging me.

Also, I have the pattern for this up on my blog, if anyone is interested.  My boyfriend graciously put the pattern into photoshop and made it all nice and pretty.  Let me know what you guys think!
6  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Lemmings! on: February 24, 2009 06:43:49 AM
These are too cute!  I still play original lemmings on my DS, and I recognized them right away!  Too cute.  Awesome job.  I actually think I like the "stop" one the best.  Great work!
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Manos: The Hands of Felt on: January 12, 2009 03:08:50 PM
That's awesome.  It makes about as much sense in felt form as it does in movie form.  Okay, I'm lying, your little book is way cooler.  Yay MST3K!!  (I can't imagine someone watching this movie without Joel and the bots!)

That is absolutely amazing.  Incredible.  Is he really as tiny as he looks?  Because I can't imagine sewing something that tiny.  I love that he is pose-able!  Let me tell you, if you made a pattern available for this, I would love you forever.  I just have to say, AWESOME!
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: All my embroidery thus far (almost) on: September 18, 2008 09:08:27 PM
Oh my gosh, I just have to add to the compliments on the chipmunk.  He is ADORABLE!  Did you design it yourself, or did you copy it from somewhere?  Because it is just too adorable.  So cute!

Anyway, I'm in awe of your talent!  You're obviously a natural, I love the board game tie ins.
10  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: BLARGHH goes the wookie on: August 27, 2008 05:13:53 PM
That's so awesome that you put a flash drive in him.  I love things that have double uses, in this case being cute AND being useful.  Great job on him, I know eyelash yarn is really crappy to work with!
