11  R2D2 ornament in Winter Holidays by artoo1121 on: November 07, 2007 03:43:23 PM
Hey everyone!  I'm posting another one of the boyfriend's projects.  This started out as part silver ornament, part of my r2d2 obsession, part of his artistic talent, mixed together to create everyone's favorite droid.

Isn't he cute?  I hope you guys like him!

Well, he's an art major, so he's kind of creative and just made it up as he went along.  But I have a better picture if you want!

13  Nintendo Perler Bead Coaster Set in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by artoo1121 on: November 05, 2007 07:18:40 PM
Hey everyone!  I thought I would share these awesome coasters with you guys, even though I didn't make them.  My boyfriend made these coasters and the box for his brother's birthday.  He made them out of perler beads and it took him FOREVER to come up with the designs for all of the coasters.  He got the idea for the box from a post I showed him on Craftster, (I think!  It was a while ago) and it took about 2 weeks to finish.  Anyway, here are the pics!

A view of the box and all of the coasters:

And a closeup of how the coasters sit in the box:

There is corkboard on the bottom of all of these to make them waterproof.  Anyway, I hope you guys like them!  He's really proud of them.

He also wants to say that it took 8,414 beads to do this.  (bragger)  =)

14  Hobbits! Four of them! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by artoo1121 on: October 28, 2007 12:49:49 PM
Meet the hobbits!  Of course, they are Sam, Merry, Pippin and Frodo.  Their little vests and capes are made out of felt, but everything else is crocheted.  I hope you guys like them!

Here's all four!

Sam and Merry

Pippin and Frodo

Hopefully I will get to finish the rest of the Fellowship--I'm working on Aragorn next.  Thanks for looking!

15  Re: Anime/Manga Swap Round 2 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by artoo1121 on: October 02, 2007 07:35:28 PM
Okay, picture time!

Here's a group shot.  It shows a beelzeneff puppet, kuma-chan (tamaki's bear--I always liked the bear better than the pink bunny!) a drawstring FMA pouch and a pokemon wallet.

Here's a close up of the wallet-

And here's Beelzenef in action, bopping my cat on the nose!

16  Fujioka Haruhi crochet doll in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by artoo1121 on: September 28, 2007 07:16:24 PM
This is a little Haruhi doll that I made for the anime swap--my partner received and posted pics, so I thought I would share it here!  I am so proud of this doll, she is the first crochet amigurumi that I have done (I'm usually a knitter).

I used a tutorial for the body (http://stitch.hellooperator.net/free-patterns/amigurumi-doll/) but modified it a bit, and then I kind of just winged the head, arms and legs.

Artistic shot!

And another pic:

And here's a pic I used as reference

I know the color is off, and after I finished the body I found the EXACT color in sugar 'n cream, but I like the light blue better.  I'm really sad I had to send her off, but I bet my partner fezzle will love her as much as I do!

Alright guys, I received my package from shirmung!  Here are the goodies.

Here's an overview: a little notebook with two pens, soap, a bag, and cold (chocolate!) coins:

And here's a close up of the bag (Dostoevsky theme, with a Buddha button)

And some soap, with little Egyptian guys (Cleopatra theme) in them:

I wish you guys could smell the soap!  It smells SO good.  Thanks so much shirmung, I love everything!

18  Re: Order Up! a waitress swap in The Swap Gallery by artoo1121 on: September 25, 2007 01:09:28 PM
Well, since I posted pics of what I got on the other thread, I'll post pics of what I sent to our organizer before she crapped out on me.  =(

Here's little batty!  I liked him, I'm sad I sent him away.

This was a little altoid tin with needles, thread, and bandaids with a Hawaii theme to make a crappy shift feel better.

These are little pizza charms, because she worked in an Italian restaurant.

I also made a book cover that had a crochet hook in it, and sent some lotion and hand wipes.  I hope you enjoy them, miss stitch.

A drink tray--the martini glass is all glittery too, I don't think it showed up too well

A little blackboard with my name on it

and some adorable little kitty notepaper!

Thanks fulleffect!
