1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Lotta Jansdotter-inspired backpack on: November 27, 2007 02:51:24 PM
My first post! Hooray!
Okay, so this isn't really "kids clothing", more like an accessory, but whatevs.
I followed the directions for the drawstring backpack in Lotta Jansdotter's Simple Sewing book, modifying the pattern to fit a wee 3 yr old girl.
I think it is adorable, and it came together really quickly (in one evening! even with a newborn to feed every half hour.....Wink ).

I used brown corduroy, and added a pretty pink floral ribbon.
I have about 5 more of these to make, as well as one for my 2 1/2 yr old son (this one is for a cousin's daughter). Ahh.... the holiday season is upon us.
