3  feminine and kitschy vintage button rings. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by tikai on: March 20, 2008 11:52:20 AM
hey everyone,

so i just made some new stuff again Smiley

i recently found how interesting is buttin ring making so i was getting a little crazy about it. here you can see result.

first one is made of brown vintage button and soooo pretty aluminum rose, this is the most feminine i think Smiley

second one is made of single vintage button. it is plastic button but looks like metal and i adore emarald green center Smiley button has some imperfections on the back but i guess it only adds vintage spirit to the ring Smiley

the biggest bling bling you had ever seen. so kitschy Smiley made of vintage earring:

and i plan to make those also in light pink, clear white and dark red  Wink!

5  daydreamer earrings. so vintage, so delicate in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by tikai on: March 16, 2008 06:07:48 AM
oh, i was dreaming to make something like these for sooooo long time, finally i found all supplies, understood how to do it technically the best way and here they are. i am so excited as this design have so many reminiscences and nice associations.

i am huge fan of costume films ( or how do you call them in english:) ) so these particular earrings remind me characters of movies 'Angel' (by Francois Ozon) and 'Moliere' (by Laurent Tirard) which both are nice, typical french costume dramas.

yap, i was always wondering how to mix two of my biggest passions of life - cinema and jewelry making, i guess, this is kind of temporar solution (of course only till then when i will be making movies by myself and be jewelry and costume designer of them as well, hi hi hi)

enjoy!

(and i really do hope they make your day like they made mine:) )

7  pink magenta & turquoise vintage aesthetics inspired necklace and earrings. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by tikai on: March 11, 2008 09:34:55 AM
i made this from terrific vintage pink lucite and vintage turquoise glass beads. these pink beads i had for a while and i couldn't figure out how to combine them. i guess, finally i found solution. although i am not sure does this color and material combination represents the best from beads and does it show capacity of vintage aesthetics representation properly.

what do you think?

8  marie antoinette. vintage aesthetics inspired earrings. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by tikai on: March 08, 2008 11:37:46 AM
hi there,

as a big fan of vintage aesthetics i just HAD TO make these earrings. to my mind they look very feminine and i am sooo satisfied how they tuned out.they are made of colored wooden base and vintage beads. i was experimenting with different colors and those you see in pics, i guess, are the most effective.

i would love to hear your opinion about them and would really appreciate your suggestions for other color variations. and - do you think which looks prettier - those which are pointed up or those which are pointed down?

thank you for looking dear craftsters!
