I totally understand what you are saying.  And, I meant to add to my post that many really needy people would never speak up.  I would not want anyone posting anything they were uncomfortable with.  Its more about what not to post.  That you need craft supplies because you spent all your money on a Porche, for example. 

And there is nothing to be embarrassed about!  A lot of us go through rough spots.  There was a time in my life where I would have been thrilled if someone gave me some yarn or drawing paper.  I used to draw and paint on wallpaper remnants, then.

What doesn't kill you makes to stronger.

ETA: I would only want a "thank you" via PM, but I think that's against the swap rules. 
In which case I would love an ATC.  I haven't had one yet and I love them!

I was watching this thread and was thinking of joining.
I almost posted something like this last night and decided against it.

I should hope this swap is for our craftsters who can't buy yarn, needles, fabric, etc, because all of their funds are going towards food, shelter, textbooks, etc.

I think that most of the folks who posted about joining to receive did give us good reasons why they need stuff.  That's good.

I would be willing to put together a supply package for a student, single Mom or non-single facing hard times!

Oh, sewknitter what a bad turn.  Sounds like they mixed your order up with someone else's.  So, someone is going through the same thing as you.   Hope it all works itself out quickly.
