2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Cappucinno CP Soap on: October 16, 2007 08:13:38 PM
I haven't posted in awhile, so I thought I'd post my newest cold process soap.

Carrot Cake Soap (with pureed carrots as the liquid, vanilla FO, and cinnamon. SMELLS SO SO SWEET AND GOOD, I don't know how the sweet smell of carrots came through...) It was super crumbly after I pulled it out of the fridge. I like it rough looking, but most likely will clean them up.

Beer Soap-Scented with Orange and some musk HUGE BARS.

Unscented OMH

Sunflower Oatmeal

Ugly soap. It's more light pink in real life. With swirls of buttery yellow. Scented Apple grape. That batch was a disaster, but smells really good.

4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Smore's Soap (First successful CP batch EVER) on: July 12, 2007 03:40:53 PM
The title explains it all.

It's really sudsy and hard and yummy Smiley
5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / A very specific question needing a specific answer on: June 25, 2007 08:31:36 AM
i am now working on cold process.

i have done three batches.
only one turned out okay, but i dont like it much.

i cant find recipes for the kind of soap making i want to do.

i have been using the CPOP method, and in the two batches the coconut oil melted in the oven to a mess.  i mixed until i reached a VERY thick trace too.  was my coconut oil ratio too high?\

and does anyone have an awesome CPOP recipe involving olive oil, canola oil, and coconut oil?  (those are the oils i have ahaha)
6  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / What else can I do with this? on: June 21, 2007 05:47:46 PM
I was cleaning the crafting corner of my room and found a block of Melt and Pour soap.

I don't really want to make soap.  (I am in the process of working myself up to CP)

Is there anything else I can use it for?
7  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Nervous about Cold Process on: June 16, 2007 04:15:06 PM
1  I have everything I need to do this, (except a scale) but am so freaked out about it!

It's not the whole "lye" thing either.

It's that I have done SO much reading, and am still hesitant and sure I will screw up.  I am really not good with failing.  And I just keep reading the SAME directions over and over, and they just aren't sticking.  Does anyone know any REALLY simple sites that explain the process?  It might be easier for me to grasp if the directions were phrased differently.

2.  I can't afford a scale right now.  Maybe soon.  Does anyone know any recipes where its all measurements, not percentages, and I can just add my EO's and additives?

Thanks!
Bree

10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Question on: May 31, 2007 06:59:35 PM
a local coffee shop wants to carry my soaps, but the lady said i need to draw up a wholesale chart.  i don't know what this means, and she wasn't very helpful or friendly about it.

can someone help me?

i sell all of my soaps for 3-4 dollars, if that means anything.
