1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Superman Clutch on: August 25, 2008 04:52:00 PM
How do you get the cover of the comic book onto the fabric?

I actually just sandwiched the cover between two sheets of clear vinyl so it could be sewn as it's own panel.
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / As I Lay Dying....of the shoulder top on: August 25, 2008 04:31:31 PM
I used this old T-shirt

And this old jacket that was too small around the bust and too short for my liking

And made this of the shoulder top

The zipper was actually taken from an old hoodie that I had in my closet too

I used the cover to an action comics superman comic, it has a felt back and a felt strap. It is also lined with a cute skull fabric.

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: DC Cadet Hat on: April 09, 2008 05:42:48 AM
That is awesome I've been looking for one like this.  Did you use a pattern?  If so can you post a tut?
I did not use a pattern, I will try to have a tute up for you in a couple of days. I just started another one so I could make a pattern before I forgot completely what I did.

i love!
how did you do this?
is it really stiff?
thats bad ass
That hat is really not that stiff, enough to hold its shape, I am poor therefore I use "very top quality" bulk skeins of yarn.

thanks guys

all three skirts are nice, where on earth did you find the skull fabric? Why can't I find any cool skull fabric?

I actually found the skull fabric at Joanne Fabics they had a ton of sweet skull prints to pic from it was really hard to choose.
