1  Re: Alice in Craftster-land 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by jrsloane1 on: April 04, 2010 08:28:32 PM
Alright, here's photos of what I sent to aisy.

For a size comparison, Montgomery decided to pose with Alice.

A white rose and a red rose. Kind of a "before and after."

And with better lighting...

The white rabbit

Coloring book and a Golden Book.

Here it is, my package from aisy...

A large box:

Close up of the bow:

A teacup pincushion:

The pins:

Food magnets:

Smaller box:

What's inside the box (bath salts? I'm not sure. They have an intensely strong scent though):

Thanks aisy!

3  Cotton Ease Baby Blanket in Knitting: Completed Projects by jrsloane1 on: June 20, 2008 08:52:07 PM
i loved knitting this. it took a long time but it was never boring. i used a pattern that i found on ravelry but i tweaked it a bit. the color chart was off and the final round wasnt the same on all sides, so a friend and i redid the chart to make it work. i also changed the border color to pink after we found out the baby is a girl. she isnt due til the beginning of august...im so glad i finished early!

pattern - http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cotton-ease-baby-blanket

yarn - lion brand cotton ease. first time working with it, it knit up nicely.

4  Re: Magic Yarn Ball Swap Round 8: The Gallery in The Swap Gallery by jrsloane1 on: May 09, 2008 09:21:16 PM
i received from fruitloops today! she so totally spoiled me. almost the whole ball had an alice in wonderland theme/feel to it. i love everything! thank you so much, fruitloops!

first off, the pattern i got was for the "minisweater a.k.a. boobholder." its very cute.

super cute white crocheted hat that i still have on my head since i got it out of the ball.

the yarn - cascade 220. and an awesome bag made with the best fabric ive ever seen. its all "alice" characters!

the mad hatter and card man patches and a felt calla lily pin

sculpey straight pins and embroidered pin cushion

white rabbit ornament, some red ribbon, white rabbit buttons, sculpey octopus charm, and an embroidered towel. that pear is the best.

two tea bags, a doodle loom, colored pencil set, harry potter something (is it a sticker? i cant tell), and a knitter's balm sample

bee soap and a beeswax candle

and the other corner of the pear towel

i definitely got spoiled. thank you so much, fruitloops! i love it!

7  scarf for a friend in Crochet: Completed Projects by jrsloane1 on: April 03, 2008 06:35:30 PM
i made this about a year and a half ago for a friend, Tom (he's in the pics), who lives in Georgia (I live in NH). I'm just now getting pictures taken of it while he's up here visiting.

its super long, but he's pretty tall, so it fits him well.

i whipped this up in about 5 hours - these hours also included making lunch, ripping cds, and organizing/partner-ing up another swap. it was pretty intense. i made this for the winter round of the favorite color swap.

and modeled by a friend's ds lite...

9  i finally finished something for myself in Knitting: Completed Projects by jrsloane1 on: March 13, 2008 11:31:56 AM
yes, another danica, i know, but the first one i made went to my grandmother and then i never finished the second one. third time's a charm, right?

its a little longer than i had planned on, i got a little carried away i guess, but it still keeps me warm!

EDIT: i used patons shetland chunky on size nine needles.

here's everything i got from jenncastor. lots of pictures!

sweet tote bag. she did some snooping and figured out i love octopodes.  Cheesy

the lining...

two books. i actually almost bought "the glass castle" last week. good thing i waited! the other book is "twighlight." i dont think you can see the title in the pic. i think its about vampires, which i love books about.

two bookmarks. the orange one is Alice and the Chesire Cat. The black is an octopus attacking a ship, which is just amazing.

thank you so much Jenn! I love everything! BTW, i've already got all my knitting stuff into the tote and its perfect!
