1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Sweet Pea invites & !!! Onesies on: August 12, 2005 03:39:38 PM
My pal is havin' a baby (her mom reports she is "as big as a house") and I volunteered to make the shower invitations.  I bought packages of sweet pea seeds, made this tag (incorporating "sweet pea" phrasing), and looped them together with ribbon.  They were expensive (the seeds ranged from $1.69-$2.39 each!) but OH SO CUTE!

3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Ms. Pac Man and Blinky costumes on: February 20, 2005 08:36:10 PM
A lil' late, but here our the Halloween costumes my luv and I wore last year.  He took a screen shot from the Ms. Pac Man, blew it up, and transfered the image to a grid and cut it out from paper board.  (For the record, I did not spend the night trying to eat him.)

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / our wed-din' invitations on: February 20, 2005 08:30:09 PM
My luv and I finished our wedding invitations last weekend.  The invitation itself is an accordian style card with our thumbprints on it:  girl, boy, together making a heart.  The paper is white so I suppose you can't see the outline, but imagine!  (A fourth panel had the date/time details, but it all wouldn't fit on the scanner.)

Our reply card, which we shed blood, sweat, and tears over, is a photo of us that we Gocco printed with our small screen printer.

The idea for the invitation was taken from the book "The Artful Bride Wedding Invitations":

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / zipper bag? on: March 01, 2004 04:46:14 PM
I don't know where I saw it, but I saw a photo of a bag made entirely from zippers.  Does anyone know anything about one of these?
Thanks!
6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Lettin' the cat outta the bag! on: February 29, 2004 02:14:40 AM
Here are two bags I finished this weekend--
the first is a tote bag and the second is a case for my new camera.

Here's the tote bag.  Pretty simple.

This is a patch on the bag made with a Print Gocco machine (small screen printer) and is a photo of my cat, Pachinko (she's quite a feisty feline).  (Nevermind the, um, crooked stitches.)

This is the camera case, made with a piece of 15 cent felt, folded to the right size and stitched up the sides.  The flap is held down with iron-on Velcro.

7  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / SNB Zeeby's bag--US 8 needles? on: February 11, 2004 04:19:37 PM
hello,
i started to knit the front of Zeeby's bag in "Stitch 'N Bitch" (lovely book...  taught me everything i know thus far), but have a problem.

it's knit with US 8 straight needles and the directions say to cast on 64 stitches, but when i do this i find that my needles are too short to accomodate all the stitches.  (another piece, maybe a strap, requires 100 stitches and there is no way i could get so many on my needles.)  so my question is if there are different needle lengths or, um, wassup?

any help is greatly appreciated 'cuz i'm a bozo.
