Fantastic portrait!  Dr. House is so cool.  I wish I could get away his antics and comments at my job =)

Well, there is a seam at the elbow... you could take it apart there are insert a band to extend the length. You could do matching leather or something contrasting depending on what suits you.

OK...I think I see what you're saying.  Thank you.

And also, you'll probably get more responses if you post this in the Clothing Q&A board instead of here Smiley.

Thanks for your suggestions and info about the Clothing Q&A board...I posted a copy there with a pic of a jacket like mine.

Here's a question for all you super crafty folks...

I have a cool leather jacket that fits great except for the sleeves.  I'd really like for them to be about 4-6 inches longer than they are.  How would you extend them if it's possible?

It's a little difficult to see in the picture, but the sleeves don't have any buttons or snaps at the cuff...it's just a plain an simple opening for your hand.

It really is that easy Smiley

We did scarve in Girl Scouts when I was 9 or 10, partly because my mom was given a bunch of end of bolt yardage from a local designer. It was really nice fabric, like $20/ yard stuff. We did all the stitching by hand & earned a badge. My mom has the one I made stashed away somewhere.

Exceptionally cool!

Making a scarf:
Find a beautiful warm fabric in a fairly loose weave, at least 60" wide.
Buy 1/3 of a yard.
Sew a handkerchief hem down both raw edges (the long sides).
Cut off the selvadge.
Sew a single line of stitching 1", 2" or 3" from the (newly) raw edge to creat fringe of however long you like your fringe (across the short length).
Carefully pull out fibers across the short length leaving the long ones as fringe.
If you feel inclined, tie sections into knots, giving a more tasseled look.
If you don't want to loose it, embroider an inital or two on one end.
If anyone at your work compliments/ asks where you got it tell them it was very expensive Wink

You make it sound so simple ;-)  I'll give it a shot though.  Thanks for the tutorial.
