11  Re: 13 Days of Halloween Swap 2008 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Cheebs on: June 20, 2008 09:39:53 AM
So here we go!

On the 13th day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

13 pieces of peanut butter cups!

Its her own recipe and they are yummy.  Yay!  First package is open!

On the 12th day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

First a gang of undead amigurumis!  First there's Nosferatu, the Skeleton Bride and Groom, a Grim Reaper, CHIBI Chthulu!!, and a Zombie.  They are awesome!

Next a Frankie's monster, a dishcloth, set of coasters, and a devil horned skullcap for my bf

And lastly, a glitter skull from the store, a spider felt bag, and a crochet kit (she emailed me some patterns to try out)

Awesome!!  Can't believe everything she sent me for this day, its crazy!  I love it!

On the 11th day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

Nine awesome witch's bottles, but unfortunately 2 broke and two spiders egg sacs.  They will go perfectly with our hanged spider victim, can't wait to hang them up.  Will definitely show pictures when its all set up.

Close-up on some of the bottles: Eye of Newt and Belladonna, Spells, Witch's Cackles and I believe the middle one is Goblin surprises

Close-up of Cat Tails

Close-up of Spooky Graveyard Dust and Evil Arsenic Poison.

That two that didn't make it were bats wings and "double double, toil and trouble".  They are awesome anyway!  And great minds think alike, huh Sunday?

On the 10th day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

A polymer clay setting of a graveyard (green grass was included but not pictured) and 6 polymer clay stitch markers

Close-up on the stitch markers

There's Undead Fred and Dracula rising from their respective coffins with Frank-n-stein in the middle

Close-up on the Jack O Lantern and Bloody Mary gravestones

They are all so freaking awesome, just have to find a box or something to create the grave scene in, will have pictures when I do that.  Thanks Sunday!

On the 9th day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

Its Cooking Day!  Sunday made me an apron, a recipe book, dry ingredients for sugar cookies, and then got me some cookie cutters, cupcake decorators and a kickass Swap Thing mug!

Here's a close-up on everything but the apron.

Its so awesome, definitely will be cooking up some goodies for my Halloween party now!

On the 8th day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

A zombiefied shirt (bling bling), 5 cute bat decorations, an adorable pumpkin painting kit (which I bought 3 little ones today so I'm sure I'll be using it on them), and really cute bat and argyle socks, I love argyle hehe!

On the 7th day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

A gorgeous wreath, which will be going on my front door

These four awesome skulls

This awesome totebag, love the fabric!

And last a vase inspired by Morticia's garden from Addams family

So far this has been my bf's favorite day!

On the 6th day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

6 awesome blood red candles and 2 decorated votive holders

They have already found homes on the TV and around one of our blood fountains

On the 5th day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

This awesome mug of goodies, love the finger puppets and glad to add another mug to our first one

This spooky Halloween shrine box

A hillarious fun-kin and some rats with a hole silhouettes which are on top of the baseboard in our hallway.

So many spooky things to find places for.  Plus we are cleaning like crazy around here getting ready for our party.  Still have to make our costumes hehe  Undecided

On the 4th day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

A voodoo doll, needlebook, corpse head, and magnets

Will be using the needlebook and voodoo doll later while I'm sewing away at our costumes.  Speaking of which ::runs off to cut fabric::

On the 3rd day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

3 awesome paper mached pumpkins

They are so cute but kind of goofy/creepy in their own way

On the 2nd day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

A dropping spider to go with our spider victim and spider sacs and an awesome shadow Halloween shadow box

The box close up

Definitely will be showing this stuff off when everybody comes over for the party.

On the 1st day of Halloween, my partner, Sunday, gave to me:

A pretty box...but what's inside?

Its a thing in the box!

Its so awesome!

I definitely have loved everything in this swap.  Thank you so much even more, Sunday!  Can't really talk too much more because I have lots more to do around the apartment for our party plus sleep is always something one needs.

Happy Halloween everyone!

I agree!  That clock rocks.  I really like those circuitboard things people make.

Okay I got my package from gleep!!  Its so awesome.

Awesome petri dish coasters

Close-up of them, there are 3 of each

Test tube wind chime art thingy (sort of gleep's words hehe)

Close-up of the tubes, they are so awesome, they are painted with DNA, skulls, skeletons, biohazard symbols, etc.

An extra which is perfect since my bf and I make our kitchen into a mad scientist lab for Halloween and the test tube wind chime will work great too

And the best thing ever!!  A biohazard/DNA scarf.  It rocks hardcore.

I love it all.  Its great, perfect, so awesome!  Thank you so much, gleep!

Both packages are really awesome.  I love that whole foods sign bag.  It is so cool to see refurbished stuff like that.  I don't know if anyone else like myself gets the Craft magazine but in the latest issue (I just got it the other day) they had a how-to on herb gardens in plastic containers.  Such good timing since auntiem sent me seeds for plants that will work very well in plastic containers.   Smiley

Okay I told auntiem I would post pictures for her so here is what I sent to her:

Here's the whole lot

The embroidered pouch which is my first try at a chain stitch

The embroidered "Eat Local" on the other side

The Pennsylvania Dutch Cookbook, I figured with her on the West coast, I should share the good ole country recipes over here on the East coast

And the Hawaiian themed totebag, and yes it is huge!

That's the pocket I put inside the bag

And here's it rolled up and clasped closed.

Auntiem said she needed a bag that she could roll up and place in her pocket or purse so I knew I had to make something I could roll up or zip up into something.  I placed it next to the cookbook to show how compact it becomes.

This was a really fun swap and I have a feeling that auntiem will receive a nice little surprise in a few weeks because her package was just that awesome hehe.

I asked cerealboxes84 if I could post pics for her.  She said please since her place is a mess from her process of moving.  So here they are:

I made up some ATHF magnets, found this message/magnet board that I thought was random enough for them

Some close-ups of the magnets

These are Apocalypse ponies coasters

Close-ups of each one

Meatwad stuffie/iPod pillow

Side view

Where the cord hangs out for the iPod or mp3 player

Cerealboxes84 informs me that Meatwad is currently blending in with her red couch.  I was afraid my bf wasn't going to let me send it out too.  Said he was too cuddly.  hehe  Grin

15  ATHF Meatwad stuffie/pillow/iPod speaker in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Cheebs on: April 22, 2008 04:08:59 AM
This is my first stuffie/play thing that I'm pretty proud of to post here.  He was very easy in the end and worked out be exactly what I was working towards.

I made him for the Adult Swim Swap for my partner cerealboxes84.

He's big enough to be a nice pillow for someone.  I made the eyes and mouth using felt just sewn onto the fur fabric.  I do not recommend using that fabric unless you have an industrial strength vacuum cleaner.  Boy its a pain and I still have a layer of it under my craft desk.

A better picture of his side and the tooth hehe

And I ended up making it look like he's staring at the cord for the iPod speaker.

I didn't get shots of this before I packaged it up but I attached one of those cheapy iPod pillows that you would find at $5 Below or the clearance section of Target on the inside of the fabric just under his face.  Then I ran the cords that come with it over to where I made the opening and made a makeshift zippered pocket (don't recommend zippers on that fabric either) to place the cords since there's a volume control for it.  But I left the cord sticking out so my partner wouldn't have to mess with the zipper just yet.  Then I stuffed him up pretty good under the speaker, sewn up the pocket securing the cords inside, and zippered him back up.

Hope you enjoy him!

Yay! I got my package from auntiem yesterday and it was definitely a welcomed surprise.

Here's everything together

There was a great herb guide book which I will need to make my own little herb garden and also two crocheted veggies, two of my favs too especially carrots

A pretty little knitted pouch of seed packets, I wanted to make my own little garden on my balcony and the tulips were a nice surprise but I'm going to have to save those for later

A little garden notebook that auntiem added some tips to help me out with my little project

And a kickass crocheted market bag that is so my style.  She got me to a t.  I love red and black and the ribbons up the sides are just perfect.  I love it!

Everything is so awesome.  I can't wait to use it all.  Just have to get organized and start researching.  Thanks again, auntiem, it is all so awesome!!

Okay I finally got pictures uploaded of my awesome package from cerealboxes84.

My new totebag with the "Robot who humps things" on it-I lurve him

My new mad scientist storage container

I'm thinking he'll be a good place to hide my candy from people or to give candy out around Halloween hehehe

And the best thing ever-A remote controle organizer.  My bf was ecstatic that we could take all the remotes off of the top of the TV

And its all Lucy the Daughter of the Devil screenshots-here's Lucy telling her dad she wants to go to art school (yes I have this show memorized)

Here's Jesus

Lucy and Jesus making out for the first time

And the Devil watching TV which my bf insists be facing where he usually sits since he finds it hillarious.

And inside the Devil also, hope its not too dark, couldn't use the flash due to all the reflective surfaces inside.

Yay!  Awesome package.  My little one bedroom is starting to slowly fill in with all these wonderful things.

That green package is really gorgeous.

I just realized that my partner, Envyus, told me to post pictures for her of what I sent.  So I hope when her internet is restored, she can post some action shots later on.

This is everything together, can you tell her color was pink?

A little pouch for her to put make-up or other little things into

A little Hello Kitty cellphone charm, sorry for the blur but my camera seems to have issues with small bright things

A reversible tote-bag, my favorite side is the strawberries

The funniest part I think, a cupcake stenciled shirt, I thought her humor would appreciate the "bite me" part

So that's everything I sent Envyus.  I also included some candy (like Pocky since everybody needs to be addicted to pocky), the bag from the Sanrio shop that I picked up a few things, and also not pictured, a roll of Hello Kitty pink ribbon.  I was going to use it to wrap up the package but I couldn't do it, I felt she needed the whole roll for herself.

I've received and my partner received too!!  I'll post pictures later, I'm just trying to catch up with everything here and on my other swaps.  I've been MIA the last two days.  I can't wait to show everything off.

Missmuffcake, I wish I could go to NZ.  Its on my list of places I want to go to and that was before Lord of the Rings was filmed there hehe.

Edited to include pictures from my package from Envyus:

Everything together

A "can't talk must knit" tissue holder with mirror inside

A cute robot and his pillow (?) or is it a pin cushion

Decorated flip-flops

A bling-bling skull zippered pouch

A pretty awesome embroidery on a little tote bag that is perfect for my knitting or sewing projects.  I like skulls, tattoos and knitting, so its perfect hehe

If you couldn't guess my color was burgandy.

20  Re: Post Photos of Your Tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by Cheebs on: April 02, 2008 05:57:23 AM
Wow...just stumbled onto this.  Some really great tattoos.  Thought I should share my one and only since I'm considering more ink soon enough.

Its a strawberry color poison dart frog.  I got it about 3 and a half years ago so its not quite so colorful anymore.  But I have taken great care of it, lots of sunscreen and I really don't get out into the sun much lately anyway.  The kanji is for strength or as I found out at an anime convention, "to be better" which made me feel better about the choice.

My next one I'm planning is going to be on the other side of my back.  I'm thinking a red eye tree frog with the celtic symbol for woman (the trinity in a religious sense even though I like to consider the actual celtic meaning of child, mother, and crone).

I was raised to be a strong woman by my mother and I just love frogs hehe.
