1  Pins/buttons/whatever you people call them! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Angelaah on: May 10, 2007 04:27:47 PM
Wow, fourth topic post of the day...
My mom had a whole bunch of junk pins with useless college-union type things on them that no one outside of the unions want to look at so I decided to make my own pins.
I painted over the pins with acrylic paint several times to cover up the writing underneath, added various details like sparkles or polka dots and then a coat or so of trusty Mod podge.  I'll be making more soon.  I'm presently working on a "Bach Rocks" one because I want to show classical music some love.

Clockwise: purple with turquoise dots, white sparkly, yellow with black dots, coke bottle cap, cherry blossoms (inspired by the wall painting in the featured projects)

Any ideas for more things to paint on the pins would be appreciated, and they're something you can easily do too, if you're so inspired.

2  Simple cluster necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Angelaah on: May 10, 2007 04:08:17 PM
This necklace was put together in a matter of minutes.
I had a started a small collection of single earrings and things and I had an extra chain that allowed things to be threaded on it so I decided to consolidate everything into one piece of jewelry.  The rest of it is beads on earring wire with little seed beads.
The hardest part of making it was deciding what colour pony bead to put between everything else!

3  Funny Rabbits in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Angelaah on: May 10, 2007 12:03:12 PM
These came out of nowhere but I love them dearly.  I want to make more but I need a solid chunk of time.  The two of them took an entire Saturday, due to my novice skills.

Comments welcome!

4  Unusual object jewellry in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Angelaah on: May 10, 2007 11:58:22 AM
Hey friends, here are some pieces of jewellry I created.  I love to use unusual objects as you will see!  I get a lot of comments about them when I wear them and they're cool because they're things no one else has.
Coke bottle caps!

Mini dominoes!

Guitar picks!

Can tops!

Childhood toys!

Any comments are welcome and suggestions for other unconventional objects I could use to make earrings would be awesome too.
