Thank you so much for all of the ideas and words of encouragement! I'm really excited to make this dress "mine", I think I am set on sewing some flowers and beading onto it.

Here is  a picture of flower detailing on a dress I tried on and LOVED, the only reason I didn't get this dress was because it was, of course, more money and it looked a bit "prom-ish" as my sisters said; it didn't have a train, etc.... But I loved the beading and flowers on it, I really want something like this on my dress but I'm just not sure how to do it. Ideas?

I bought my wedding dress yesterday at a lovely  discounted price but it is a little plain compared to what I had invisioned. My mother is a wonderful seamstress and says she will sew some beading or flowers or something onto the dress to spruce it up and give me some "bling".

My colors are light (powder) pink, charcoal gray and white. I am leaning towards a vintage feel. I really want to add "something" to the dress but I am not sure of what, there is a nice gathering on the side of the dress where I'd love to put something. I've found some flowers on etsy that I think might look nice but I could really use some professional help, ladies! What do YOU think?

I found these flowers on Etsy from TwistedCrystals, I thought these might look good alond the gathering at the side of my dress but I am not completely sure.... either way these flowers are beautiful!

I was at the antique store a few weekends back and I found a big ole collection of old Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books so I had to snatch some up. Once I got home and started looking through the books a bit more I found "What Happened At Midnight" and I just new that it's fate was to be a wall clock....

I got bored the other night and turned some coarkboard I had into a memory board. It's my first memory board and I'm happy with the way it came out. I really wanted one but hated the ugly ones at the store. I already had everything I needed so I didn't spend anything on it! ^_^

 



I haven't put anything on the back to mount it yet. I'm not quite sure what to use? 

Maybe just some string?

For my boyfriend's birthday I put together a Japan In-A-Box. He took a school trip to Japan a few years back and has been in love with Japan ever since. Thus, Japan In-A-Box!

Items that were not in any of the pictures are a bonsai tree starter kit, a schoolgirl costume, & a Godzilla marble blaster.

He absoloutely loved it. He said it is the most thoughtful gift anyone has ever given him. My work here is done! ^_^

Eep, so I am in LOVE with stenciling. I did my first last night [see Nancy Drew shirt] and tonight I made one ofr my boyfriend who is a zombie-fan. His favorite zombie movie is the original Dawn of the Dead thus he got a DOTD t-shirt. I got the stencil from http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v673/star_stencils/Movies/.





I got the shirt at CVS [5 shirts for $10, I couldn't pass it up! They're pretty good quality as well.] and I used black Jaquard textile paint.

So, this was my first attempt with stencilling and I'm quite happy with the results with a couple exceptions. I just used an old t-shirt I had lying around and the Nancy Drew stencil from this (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=125697.0) post. I absoloutely LOVE Nancy Drew but theres not much out there in the way of.....er, showing love for her so I am ecstatic about this shirt!

My boyfriend asked me to point out the entertainment center he built himself (with no plans or anything) and his Lego models. lol. He's very proud of his Legos. ^_^

So, whats the verdict? Did I do well?

I actually ordered them on Ebay. They were cheap and got here fast. ^_^

I just searched for mini Mario figurines.

I'm actually thinking about buying a big lot of the figurines on ebay again, to take care of that "something missing". It has a lot of the characters.



I already have Mario and the turtle.....but you can never have too many. :p

Ok, so I'm doing one of those "In-A-Box" gifts for my boyfriend's birthday, I decided to do Japan in a box. While he doesn't really dig the whole meditative zen thing he DOES like playing in sand AND Mario! Thus.....The Mario Zen Garden!







I still think it needs a little something more. Maybe some stones....or blocks painted like the question mark boxes?

Anywho, what do ya'll think?!
