1  Re: Ideas to spruce up my plain wedding dress, please! Photo heavy-ish in Weddings and Bridal Showers by Miss Cuddlefish on: December 28, 2010 01:45:35 PM
Thank you so much for all of the ideas and words of encouragement! I'm really excited to make this dress "mine", I think I am set on sewing some flowers and beading onto it.

Here is  a picture of flower detailing on a dress I tried on and LOVED, the only reason I didn't get this dress was because it was, of course, more money and it looked a bit "prom-ish" as my sisters said; it didn't have a train, etc.... But I loved the beading and flowers on it, I really want something like this on my dress but I'm just not sure how to do it. Ideas?

3  "The Hardy Boys" Wall Clock! What Happened At Midnight [Pics] in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Miss Cuddlefish on: October 01, 2007 04:38:11 PM
I was at the antique store a few weekends back and I found a big ole collection of old Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books so I had to snatch some up. Once I got home and started looking through the books a bit more I found "What Happened At Midnight" and I just new that it's fate was to be a wall clock....

I used this tutorial from instructables.com http://www.instructables.com/id/Literary-Clock/

So, whatcha think?!

4  A Polky-Dotty Memory Board! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by Miss Cuddlefish on: September 27, 2007 04:43:35 PM
I got bored the other night and turned some coarkboard I had into a memory board. It's my first memory board and I'm happy with the way it came out. I really wanted one but hated the ugly ones at the store. I already had everything I needed so I didn't spend anything on it! ^_^

I haven't put anything on the back to mount it yet. I'm not quite sure what to use?  Undecided

Maybe just some string?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this....

For my boyfriend's birthday I put together a Japan In-A-Box. He took a school trip to Japan a few years back and has been in love with Japan ever since. Thus, Japan In-A-Box!  Cheesy

Japanese for Beginners t-shirt from thinkgeek.com

Our baby Chloe enjoying the gift wrap. hehe.

The Mario Zen Garden I made.

Already getting his zen on with his Mario Zen Garden!

The almost complete gift: Udon noodles, Ramune Soda, Pocky Stick, Hi-Chew, fancy green chopsticks, & Japanese For Beginners t-shirt.

Trying on *ahem* "His" schoolgirl skirt.... *blush*

Items that were not in any of the pictures are a bonsai tree starter kit, a schoolgirl costume, & a Godzilla marble blaster.

He absoloutely loved it. He said it is the most thoughtful gift anyone has ever given him. My work here is done! ^_^

6  2nd Stenciled Shirt: DAWN OF THE DEAD [For the boyfriend] in Stenciling: Completed Projects by Miss Cuddlefish on: September 06, 2007 08:23:23 PM
Eep, so I am in LOVE with stenciling. I did my first last night [see Nancy Drew shirt] and tonight I made one ofr my boyfriend who is a zombie-fan. His favorite zombie movie is the original Dawn of the Dead thus he got a DOTD t-shirt. I got the stencil from http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v673/star_stencils/Movies/.

I got the shirt at CVS [5 shirts for $10, I couldn't pass it up! They're pretty good quality as well.] and I used black Jaquard textile paint.

7  First Stencil: NANCY DREW in Stenciling: Completed Projects by Miss Cuddlefish on: September 05, 2007 08:24:37 PM
So, this was my first attempt with stencilling and I'm quite happy with the results with a couple exceptions. I just used an old t-shirt I had lying around and the Nancy Drew stencil from this (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=125697.0) post. I absoloutely LOVE Nancy Drew but theres not much out there in the way of.....er, showing love for her so I am ecstatic about this shirt! Cheesy

Here is the end result:

My boyfriend asked me to point out the entertainment center he built himself (with no plans or anything) and his Lego models. lol. He's very proud of his Legos. ^_^

So, whats the verdict? Did I do well?

8  Re: Zen Mario Garden [Warning: GEEKY] in Completed Projects by Miss Cuddlefish on: August 14, 2007 09:16:15 AM
I LOVE it!
Where'd you get the little Mario and Yoshi??

I actually ordered them on Ebay. They were cheap and got here fast. ^_^

I just searched for mini Mario figurines.

I'm actually thinking about buying a big lot of the figurines on ebay again, to take care of that "something missing". It has a lot of the characters.

I already have Mario and the turtle.....but you can never have too many. :p

9  Zen Mario Garden [Warning: GEEKY] in Completed Projects by Miss Cuddlefish on: August 10, 2007 04:10:48 PM
Ok, so I'm doing one of those "In-A-Box" gifts for my boyfriend's birthday, I decided to do Japan in a box. While he doesn't really dig the whole meditative zen thing he DOES like playing in sand AND Mario! Thus.....The Mario Zen Garden!

I still think it needs a little something more. Maybe some stones....or blocks painted like the question mark boxes?

Anywho, what do ya'll think?!

So, here is my first attempt at making a purse (& also my third attempt sewing.) I know I made a lot of mistakes but all in all I'm content with the finished thing. I can only get better.

Right....?  Huh

I used this tutorial also, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=49030.msg452122#msg452122. Albeit I didn't follow very well..... :p
