Made with black paint, a cheap white wastebasket at a garage sale, and my imagination.

PS.
I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, I don't know where else to put it.

62  Esoteric shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by shayneblate08 on: June 29, 2007 03:53:15 PM
Here's the story about this one. My mom and I are both on the big side, but she is all about tent clothing, while I am about flattering what I like about myself. er go (no idea how to spell it.) she buys me a 2x awesome Esoteric T-Shirt from Hot Topic.
Er go I make it fit me.... ergo she gets mad at me. but whatever, she didn't snip off the price, it was on sale for $3.

Anyway, no sew, but it took awhile seeing as I couldn't get it loose/tight enough, and the sleeves were so effing huge, I just slit them and the neck kept giving me troubles... I took some scraps from the pants-to-shirt camo sweater and used them to hold up the Esoteric top.

Enjoy!

P.S. Ignore the ugliness, I had no makeup or hairspray as it was 5:00 in the morning, and I haven't slept in the past few days I've been living in Illinois.
Also ignore crappy quality, I can't help it.

63  Baggy camo pants into cute crop sweater ... lots of pics in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by shayneblate08 on: June 29, 2007 11:58:40 AM
No sew, started with a pair of really baggy pants from no boundaries in the mens department. The waistband itsself fit me a little too tightly and I didn't like how high it came on me. They were baggy and really high waisted and low crotched, so... I was going to cut them up for scrap material and then I said...how can I salvage this?
And I did.

If anyone wants a tutorial, I'd be happy to do it, but I don't want to hurt your eyes with lots of reading material if you knew how to do it...

anyway... pics, sorry for the terrible quality.

Note, if you can't see I have ties going up each side of the back of it.
Oh and if you see grey spots, that's my camera--the shirt is perfectly clean.

Oh and one more thing: sorry for my ugliness, no makeup and hair all crappy looking--it was about 4:00AM

64  two tee recons. in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by shayneblate08 on: June 21, 2007 12:25:47 AM
right size Go Gos t-shirt, but I hate shorter sleeves, because my arms are fat and have w stretch marks. so I found these size small footless leggings and cut of a couple inches and sewed around the sleeve (by hand. also took two squares and pinned them on each shoulder (one is shown here) with saying pins. I like how this shirt makes me look.

this one was a long sleeved undershirt my brother out grew.I drew all over it and sewed on hand made sleeves of extra polkadot fabric I have. the sleeves are weird, but both ultimately the same 3/4 length.

65  stips of pants and strange polo outfit in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by shayneblate08 on: June 21, 2007 12:21:31 AM
for some reason this photo makes me look about 100 lbs heavier than I am and much shorter than I am...

anyway, found this cute camo tee @ walmart, on sale for $3.50 and it was only size small, so I cut off the front half and pinned it on to this polo my dad gave me. then I was attempting to hem a pair of jeans and went too far, so I cut the strips to the knee made an interesting hole and an x on the front.

good times.

66  drapey skull shirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by shayneblate08 on: June 21, 2007 12:03:48 AM
so my mom got me this red kind of tent like thing that had a few gems in the middle, and yes it does look good on me but it was a little too older person looking and I am 16. so. I cut a strip off a black and white skull bandana (walmart, 99cents) and that big skull designed thing was on a tee on sale for $5 at walmart, but it was size like 2x or something, way too big, so I cut the design out and appliqued them both on. good times. the collar was hard because the fabric over the shirt was drapey and bunchy and my fabric wasn't...

all hand sewn.

67  Speak: sharpie jeans (20 pics) really heavy in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by shayneblate08 on: June 20, 2007 11:58:57 PM
Holy crap... I just realized from this post that there are a number of word misspellings on the pants. So when I find the pants (I just moved to Illinois so they are in a box somewhere) I will have to discreetly changed them.. DOH!  Undecided
done with sharpies
most of the stuff is quotes from and images inspired by the movie and book Speak. Some quotes are from Nietzsche, Eleanor Roosevelt, song lyrics, and myself... so... yeah.

The plain white jeans were $9 at walmart

Amazingly soft fabric.
HAND-SEWN!
I cut off some of the sleeves so I could add stretchy cuffs so it wouldn't be too long, and used the extra material to cut two hearts out and sew them on one of the pockets.

thanks for looking and I love comments.

70  busy shirt -- so much stuff going on! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by shayneblate08 on: May 05, 2007 02:17:50 PM
sharpies = good way to liven up dull piece of clothing so that you'll actually wear it.
