1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Picot on: May 29, 2008 02:02:54 AM
I'm trying to knit some mittens that have a picot cuff edge. I've knitted 11 rounds with one round of k2tog yo and then the instructions say join stitches to cast on edge. I tried that but ended up with a lumpy mess. Help!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / My knitting disappoints on: August 08, 2007 01:54:53 AM
I'm a beginner knitter. I knitted my sister a sweater following the Elizabeth Zimmerman formula but she doesn't like it because it's not fitted. My next project was a tank top for my one year old nephew - I think I bound off too tightly though because it won't go over his head. I'm getting frustrated and feeling sad.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / halter top help on: May 18, 2007 02:57:06 AM
I've knitted the main part of a halter top and now I'm supposed to pick up 3 stitches at each side and each top corner for the straps. I've looked at instructions for picking up stitches but I'm still not really getting it. Help!
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Huh? on: April 30, 2007 05:32:26 AM
I'm trying to make a scarf and the pattern says cast on 18 stitches, knit 6 rows, bind off 14 stitches, knit to the end of the row. It's the knit to the end of the row part I'm having trouble with - my yarn seems like it's in the wrong place for me to continue knitting. Help!
