1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Wonderful World Of Color on: July 10, 2013 04:46:01 PM
This is a new category for me!
Some of you may know me from my art journaling and Coptic stitched journals that I post.

I decided I wanted to start painting -- needed something different and outside of my comfort zone.

Here is my first acrylic painting on canvas. It measures 10" x 20"

I've titled it: HELLO!

I would love any feedback you'd like to toss my way  Cheesy

Thanks for looking!

jolenemarie, your journals are always amazing...I use grey board and cover it with paper, usually...although I am not entirely happy with it, I might try the canvas boards and fabric, see if it works a little better

edelC ...WOW...I remember you!!!!
Give the canvas a try and let me know what you think. We are all comfortable with different things - it just works for me!
And, thanks for the compliment - you've always been so supportive!

Blue and brown, and black and white.

I agree! Those color combo's make a statement!

Great artjournaling. Love it. As for mine I just try to find my style... haven't found yet)

Victoria - I think that is one of the coolest aspects of art journaling...experi menting and discovering your style.
Thanks for the compliment - very appreciated.

THIS is what I want my journal pages to look like! I'm in awe. I particularly love "give up war for Lent", that's wonderful. Amazing.

charlieandwillow - while I APPRECIATE the wonderful compliment --- always strive for YOUR pages to reflect YOU and not another artist  Grin What ALWAYS stands out to me is finding an art journalist who is TRULY UNIQUE. I see so MANY whose art looks just like the current "popular" artists who get all the publicity. It's not that artists fault..people just seem to want to imitate instead of reaching deep and being creative -- you know what I mean?

Also, lovely blog - hope you continue to post there!
