11  Re: Stash-Be-Gone-Along? in Knitalongs by TreadmillKnitter on: July 10, 2007 08:16:45 PM
i love the idea of a fish scarf especially since i have 2 young boys...

i finally finished one project since joining this KAL...

after trying 2 different patterns and not being quick enough I decided to go a little lazy and pull out the ole' knifty knitter. I made myself a pair of slippers to wear to the HP book release party and the movie (tomorrow yay!) here they are

*x-posted in the knifty knitter socks kal*

I thought they needed a little snazzing up so I added bows hehe.

13  How to clasp a watch? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by TreadmillKnitter on: July 09, 2007 09:01:18 PM
Ok so I am making this watch for the HP stuff coming SOON and I got halfway done and realized I did it wrong. I basically have a watch face in the middle and 2 strands of seed beads interlooping.

Heres a pic so you can see what I mean:

Now I just dont know how to do the crimp bead and clasp (i'm using a screw together clasp). I know how to put it on if it's just straight beading but it's the curved type i dont know how. Any help would be wonderful!

*edited to add...that part at the end that looks like the cross of a t is the end waiting to be clasped it wont stay like that. The left hand side is the part that I did first and realized I messed up on.
