134  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / How's this for a layout on: December 17, 2007 06:12:15 AM
I am planning a garden out of the exsiting one that I already have.
Here is the layout.

The layout demands no gravel so that worry of mine is now over.
Here is the software I used to prepare the layout:

135  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / suggestions regarding portable garden on: December 05, 2007 04:08:39 AM
I am an Army wife and I have to move to a new station every two years. The irony is that Army provides us with a HUGE front yard and a backyard which is ours for the taking as long as we stay in that house.
Now my problem is I cannot decorate my garden with permanent fixtures, one Army doesn't allow it, and two I don't want to spend pot loads of money on something that the next occupant may or may not like.
Please give me some suggestions regarding portable garden arts that look like landscaping but are portable. And yes, low cost would be welcome! An army officer is actually not paid as much as it seems from the outside  Wink
Like for pebbled partitions, I was thinking maybe I could put a plastic sheet underneath so I could pick up the pebbles when the time comes to leave.

139  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: Need help for buy a Sewing machine on: August 04, 2007 11:05:10 AM
My  experience with a Singer machine has not been good. I am from India. Here the Singer machines we get are Made in Brazil. And the machine needs tuning every three months or so. Also, the bulb gave way pretty soon.
I am not sure what kind of Singer machines you get there, but I'd surely give Singer a miss next time.

Hi BethyG
My mom knows how to make a churidar, but I live far away from her and she doesn't know how to use a computer.
Anyway, I'll try and get it from her over the weekend. Watch this space.
