11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ring Findings on: August 09, 2009 07:25:32 AM
Thank you for the info.  I've been on Etsy and have seen findings in reasonable quantities, which is what I was looking for.  I'll post results when I finally get to making the fish scales jewelry.  For those who haven't seen this before, it's pretty neat and different.  Thanks again.  Ciao!
12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Ring Findings on: July 20, 2009 04:49:43 PM
I have recently learned how to make flowers using fish scales and would love to make rings.  However, I don't know where to purchase ring findings.  I have checked the local Jo Anne Fabric, Michael's and ACMoore, but have had no success.  Since I am experimenting, I really don't want to purchase a large quantity.  I'd appreciate any help.  Thanks and ciao!

Hello!  Love the garter.  And would be very interested in the pattern.  Thanks.
14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: This was meant to be a slipper... on: March 24, 2009 07:11:13 AM
Hello!  I wanted to tell you that your slipper/wrist bag really intrigued me.  I needed some easy, quick projects to use for our annual craft fair here in Naples, FL, all proceeds of which are donated to the homeowners association fund for their use to help others living in our park.  We crafters usually donate our time and supplies.  Anyway, I decided to use 100% cotton and using your pattern, made approximately a dozen little wrist bags.  The major stumbling block was the handles--I wanted plastic bangles at a reasonable price but could only find metal.  We had our craft fair last Saturday and the bags were a hit--for those who bought them for themselves or for their grandkids.  I used crocheted flowers instead of a pin on the front of some of them.  Thanks for the pattern and I am so pleased that so many of them sold.

16  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Cream of Leftover Chicken and Rice Soup on: January 18, 2009 02:12:32 PM
Hello!  Today is a good soup day--in Southwest Florida, no less.  We've been on the cool side the last few days, like almost the entire rest of the country.  Anyway, I tried your chicken, rice and corn soup and it is wonderful.  I think you should call this comfort food.  It certainly was a comfort to us today.  Thanks!
17  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Jellyfish and artichoke boxers on: January 06, 2009 06:11:51 AM
Good Morning.  I am so not a sewer (except hand hemming and replacing buttons) but I loved your comments about artichokes.  I am also a lover of artichokes and can eat them anytime, anyplace.  I have also a husband and a daughter who enjoy them whenever I cook them.  In fact, I've been known to hide the leftovers from my daughter.  I have been a New Englander since birth but have said many times that I would move to CA only to be near the artichoke farms.  Nice to  know there are others out there who feel the same way I do.  Have a great day!

Hi.  This looks great and I'd love to try it.  However, having a devil of a time trying to get to the newsletter.  I've tried a couple of different ways but no success.  Is there some way you can post recipe on here?  Boy, would I appreciate it!  Thanks and ciao!
