1  Help me to find or make a pattern for this dress! (pinup/rockabilly) in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by bhevarri on: May 22, 2014 09:03:36 AM
Hi there! I've recently been fawning over this dress and upon closer inspection, it's just way too small for me. But looking at the pictures, it seems that it would be very simple to make my own!

http://www.amazon.com/Ixia-Womens-Polka-Pinup-Dress/dp/B00ED36V58/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

The skirt looks like a simple circle skirt, no worries there, but I've never made a dress with a multi-part bodice like this one has. I absolutely love the look of it and I would love to replicate it.

Do any of you know of patterns, tutorials, how-tos on making a dress like this? Of course, free is always better but if you know of a good pattern I might buy, let me know! It's really just the bodice that intimidates me- I would love to see how all of the pieces actually interact, what is what shape, the angles of them all- and it would be great to get even just some reference. I also don't mind drafting my own patterns at all Smiley
I'd love to make this dress, but I'm fairly inexperienced at sewing garments with multiple parts, especially something as rigid and specific as this!

Thanks so much <3

The apron with soot sprites on it!

AND a binder thing full of studio ghibli inspired recipes, with the name of the bakery from kikis delivery service on it. On the back, there's a cake! SO CUTE!

I have received an amazing necklace from Bhevarri yesterday.

Unfortunately, the Krakken cursed it and it got damaged in the post...

And here is a close up of the beautiful flower pendant and skulls(Yarrr)

I have attempted a rescue and wore it and got stopped TWICE in the school playground by people admiring it. THANK YOU Bhevarri it is really lovely! Kiss

Oh my goodness! If you want to send it back, I can fix it =( Or you can replace the wire, I suppose... poo! But I am glad you like the necklace =)

4  Crazy cellphone charms, pins, hairclips and Charm bracelets! (very IMG heavy!) in Get Product and Website Opinions by bhevarri on: March 03, 2009 08:57:24 PM
Hey craftster! This is my first time posting something big here, so be gentle!
I'm quickly approaching my time to get my Etsy shop up and running, but I wanted to show these little doodads to you first. What do you all think?

Also, from a consumer standpoint, how much would you pay for some of these items? Thanks in advance and enjoy the pictures!

First, some simple beaded cell charms, they have little hearts on em!

This one reminds me of berries...

These next guys are my pride and joy- cupcakes! Of felt!!

These are pins. lovely, lovely pins.

I like this birthday one quite a bit.

These ones are hairclips. I LOVE hairclips, so I hope you all do too  Smiley

The angry one is my favorite

This little cloud pin is my personal buddy =D maybe I'll make more if it strikes my fancy!

Here are some mixed cell charms...

Chocolate chip polyclay cookies, beads, and a little bell.

And a similar charm

Dolphin and an orca with some dangly bead things.

Polyclay cupcakes! Love making cupcakes!

A little resin piece and some stars.

Now, a couple of charm bracelets!! I really like these, if only I liked to actually wear them! I'll have more pictures of these once I get the rest of them back from the spa that was SUPPOSED to sell them but isn't  Angry
Anyway, enjoy!

So, any ideas on how to improve on these designs, pricing, or other thoughts? Thanks everyone!!

5  Re: World of Warcraft Addicts Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by bhevarri on: June 02, 2008 08:31:58 PM
Okay! Things have been so crazy around here but i finally have the time to sit down and post what Nerdycrochetgal sent me!

The small item is the shirt. It's got a picture of a lift on it and it says, "Keep lifting me higher and higher" and on the back it says, "Have your own uplifting experience! Visit the great lift. Thousand needles, Kalimdor."
The two medium are the candle holder that is totem-reminiscent and the crocheted windchime (which is hanging up in my bedroom!)
And then, the large, totally awesome, life-sized totem plushie! Love!

Everything is so awesome and I love the stuff everyone else sent too!
