1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Looking for tuts for BULLET crafts on: May 12, 2008 09:56:26 PM
Hiyas.  I'm currently looking for tutorials on craftster here or online in general for making things out of inert/empty bullets.  You know, keychains, earrings, etc.   I've never made jewelry before but I thought this would be a neat idea, especially since my boyfriend owns a gun shop and range.  Thanks for any links you can provide!  I have tried looking up stuff online and here, but all I get are phrases referring to "sweating bullets" and "bite the bullet" lol...
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: turning straps right side out on: May 06, 2007 11:21:49 AM
I made the mistake of attempting to make a purse with a super huge long, and thin strap XD  I'm currently trying to do this now, lol...

4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Coffin-shaped soaps ^,^ on: May 03, 2007 11:36:36 AM
Thanks very much  Grin  I think the molds were originally supposed to be candy molds, but they've held up very well through many pourings (I try to keep the soap as low a temp as possible).

Sad part is, I don't use my own glycerin soaps  Huh  I try to buy really nice soap base, usually those that contain little surfacants and other unneeded extra crap.  But still, the coconut oils in it make my skin rather dry, but everyone I know loves to use them.

I mold glycerin soap, and its soo much fun!  I have had extremely great luck in finding all sorts of interesting molds to play around with as well.  Skulls, hearts, bats, angels, coffins (my favorite!) and everything else in between.

I like trying to make real handmade soap as well, but there are cats in the apartment, and I'd rather be on the safer side -- so I just resign myself to the fact that I buy other people's handmade soap goodies Smiley  I like my glycerin soaps though because I give them out as gifts, and make great smelling soaps that sometimes can't be had with real handmade soaps.

Anyways, I don't have much in the way of pictures yet, but I do have a picture of one of my favorites to give away as presents Cheesy

Sorry for not being able to post a pic right here, but I've fewer than ten posts Cheesy
