yes, the first one was done last week... and was the first scan for me to play around with coloring and textures.
The second one was started last night, and I am just in the stages of trying my hand at finding a style.

Pencil on cardstock, scanned, then colored with many many layers.




Oh and something cute with acrylics because I can.

the top one I actually wanted to paint and the second one I forced myself to do it... and I think that shows : )

I'm missing my Masonite panels... I did order some more so for the time being I am using canvas I had around the house.

Newest painting: I stayed up until 3 am to paint this one. I am a night owl and tend to work at night anyway.

the second one, the fairy asleep on the rock/mushroom...whatever you want it to be I guess was done first.... my transition back to how the acrylics work on canvas vs. Masonite panel.

An example of acrylic paintings I've started to do.... basically I like to dabble in a bunch of different projects in my free time when I'm not in classes or working on other real world jobs.... unfortunately art is still a hobby after 3 years of doing maybe someday it can become my full time gig.

nope, I've never illustrated a childrens book. I have thought about maybe writing and illustrating my own some day.

What I have done is freelance for stamping companies. So some of my images are clear stamps and rubber stamps for craft and card makers.

I've been messing around in photoshop this time. The artwork is hand drawn then scanned onto the computer.

it's taken two years of painting on and off to get to the point that I can make the characters actually look similar to each other lol

ah! I wasn't finished. I hit enter by mistake. The size is 8 x 11 inches.

I used the same character for this one....



the camera is horrible...but anyway, it's not finished because I am working on the bear...this is just the underpainting on the bear...

and I thought I would show my next project which is this....



and again the bear is being worked on. : )
