Pencil on cardstock, scanned, then colored with many many layers.

Oh and something cute with acrylics because I can.

I'm missing my Masonite panels... I did order some more so for the time being I am using canvas I had around the house.

Newest painting: I stayed up until 3 am to paint this one. I am a night owl and tend to work at night anyway.

and this one

the second one, the fairy asleep on the rock/mushroom...whatever you want it to be I guess was done first.... my transition back to how the acrylics work on canvas vs. Masonite panel.

3  Re: long time away, new stuff to post in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by earth18 on: March 09, 2009 07:00:23 PM
I thought I would share these to answer the questions as well. This photo is an example of the style for stamps.

Another cutie style for other projects I work on:

An example of acrylic paintings I've started to do.... basically I like to dabble in a bunch of different projects in my free time when I'm not in classes or working on other real world jobs.... unfortunately art is still a hobby after 3 years of doing Smiley maybe someday it can become my full time gig.

4  long time away, new stuff to post in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by earth18 on: February 11, 2009 04:43:15 PM
I've been messing around in photoshop this time. The artwork is hand drawn then scanned onto the computer.

I used the same character for this one....

the camera is horrible...but anyway, it's not finished because I am working on the bear...this is just the underpainting on the bear...

and I thought I would show my next project which is this....

and again the bear is being worked on. : )

8  Halloween cute doll design First doll in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by earth18 on: August 11, 2008 08:30:49 PM
k I've been working on this project over the weekend. I made the base doll on Saturday and then two outfits I finished on Sunday and the last one was finished today.

This is my first attempt at making a paper doll design. They are colored on cardstock with pencils and acrylics.

9  Its been awhile..but Im still painting :) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by earth18 on: July 23, 2008 10:47:41 PM
It's been awhile since I posted on here.

I thought I would make a post so those of you who found my art a long time ago could see what I've been up to since last time I was on the forum.

(above)
This one was painted for my first art show I attended a few weeks back. It was strange but fun. I will definately go again next year. I was trying to convey a story with this image. (and I'm not a huge fan of pink...but the color is growing on me as you can tell from the second picture... I had to make it pinkish again.)

She was painted last week. My first attempt in a long time for painting on canvas panels.

Drawing on cardstock that I have finished coloring yet... I can't decide if I should do it digitally or with colored pencils.

Another painting for the same show as above.

So that's a little look as to what I have been doing.

thanks for looking

10  Re: started on card #2 for 2008 in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by earth18 on: February 29, 2008 10:02:34 PM
Ok, well I decided to play around with the scan off of the ACEO card and came up with these digitally... lol

I still haven't colored the actual card...but should have it finished by tomorrow night and probably with the same colors I've already picked out on these : )
