21  Hostess Chocolate Cupcake... in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by HHjamie on: June 02, 2007 09:45:41 PM
...sewing apron! (well, at least I think that's what it looks like)

This is my first completed project with my new sewing machine. Whoo hoo! I feel like a proud little mama.

Butt shot...

I followed the tut from 100 Ways to Use Your New Sewing Machine. http://www.amazon.com/Ways-Your-First-Sewing-Machine/dp/089689309X/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/002-7265042-5200864?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1180845520&sr=8-1

Next...I sew my first dress...stay tuned!

Thanks for looking!

22  Lacy Little Girl's Top in Crochet: Completed Projects by HHjamie on: May 27, 2007 01:20:07 PM
Hi everyone!

I just finished this top for my boyfriend's little niece's birthday today (she's turning two)...

Pic with the flash

Pic without the flash

I used the free pattern from Lion Brand Yarns found here http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/60420a.html

I made a few changes...
- Made the sleves have a little puff
- Increased the number of stitches around the collar so it folded and looks a little like a Peter Pan collar
- Wove a chain through the top so it can be sinched and then tied (she's a ity bity one and I wanted to make sure that it would fit her)

Thanks for looking!!! Grin

24  Crocheted Rag Rug in Crochet: Completed Projects by HHjamie on: May 08, 2007 06:53:12 PM
Here is my first attempt at making a rag rug. I've been trying to teach my boyfriend's mom to crochet for the sole purpose of making rag rugs, but I think that she's given up! I made her this for Mother's Day...(soda can for scale)

Here is a close up that shows the true colors...I'm not crazy about the colors, but I know that she'll love them.

http://vintagechica.typepad.com/the_life_and_times_of_thi/2006/10/rag_rug_tutoria.htmlhas a great rag rug tutorial.

I think next time I'm hitting the thrift store and using an old sheet for this project. It eats up fabric like crazy!

25  Two Little Projects in Crochet: Completed Projects by HHjamie on: April 27, 2007 11:10:00 AM
I just learned to crochet about 2 months ago and have been going crazy! Here are two of my latest projects.

After seeing so many iPod cases, I thought it was time to try my hand at one.

I have seen so many things with cherry blossoms on them this spring, so I made my own rendition.

Thanks for looking and please leave any comments!!!  Smiley
