I use t-shirt transfers in mine and since all of the fabrics I use are ironable I just iron the transfer directly onto the item I made... this takes out the need for twill tape.

Maybe you should consider selling prints of your work instead of the original. $5 for several hours of work makes me cringe, your time is far more valuable!
