1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / fluffy lace camisole from weekend knitting on: July 10, 2004 11:31:24 AM
I thought this pattern had been mentioned in the Weekend Knitting thread and I was just wondering if anyone has finished it...I'm on my third try, and for some reason I can't get it. The first round is fine and dandy, but when I get to the second round, something goes terribly, terribly wrong.  : (

the pattern says;
rnd 1: K1 *YO, s1, k1, YO, psso; rep from * to end
rnd 2: K1, *drop YO from needle, K2; rep from * to end

so it would seem to me that the yarn overs would come after every two stitches, but when I look at what's actually on the needle, they don't. There seems to be a yarn over after four stitches. It makes total sense in my head, but not when I actually go to knit it. When you drop a yarn over from the needle, do you just drop the "extra" stitch that it makes, or both stitches? I tried both ways, and neither seemed to work. I have been extra careful with the first row to make sure I didn't make any mistakes, but it's still gone awry.

any help would be very much appreciated!
