I made the necklace about a month ago but I just put the finishing touches on the earrings yesterday.

Made from freshwater pears, moonstone, glass, jasper and found seashells during my last retreat; All findings are silver. Feedback is appreciated! Thanks for looking Smiley

4  Aquamarine lariat style necklace (photos may need a second to load) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by shes_cleva on: July 05, 2007 09:32:04 AM
I guess it's loosely themed after pirates of the Caribbean but I will never admit that again Wink

6  copper wrapped charmed hoop earrings - everyone loves turtles right? in Beads: Completed Projects by shes_cleva on: June 18, 2007 02:12:52 PM
Here's my latest creation - I initially wanted to make a hoop and a threaded earring set but loved the hoop so much I decided to make 2  Cool

It looks a bit smooshed here but I have since pulled it into a nice full circle. I love how playful they are and I can't wait to wear them to hang out. ^_^ They're made of copper, gold filled hooks, glass, wood and jasper, and swarvoski (sp?) crystal beads. Thanks for looking!!

Constructive feedback encouraged Wink

7  necklaces made with jade, carnelian quartz and glass beads in Beads: Completed Projects by shes_cleva on: June 16, 2007 04:08:58 PM
Yes, today was a busy crafting day for me. Smiley

Made of all glass, I call this one carnivale. It has a regular lobster claw clasp. Surprisingly, it matches almost everything in my closet Smiley

This is my favorite. It ties in the back with hot pink ribbon sewn on with bright orange thread. ha ha - I got the ribbon off a shirt in the donations bin in the den. you know the little part to hang skimpy shirts on the hangers?  Wink

The leaf is carnelian (used for clear thinking. It is said to help balance creativity and mental processing,) the elephant is jade (attract and enhance love of all kinds. It is also a stone of fidelity and generosity. It is also considered to be good for the physical heart and for emotional balance and stability. Jade is also very helpful as a stone of abundance) and quartz (a power stone that harmonizes and balances. It enhances energy and thoughts, and purifies the spiritual, mental, and physical. It is also a powerfully protective stone, bringing the purified energy in.)

8  copper and jade turtle bracelet in Beads: Completed Projects by shes_cleva on: June 16, 2007 11:22:31 AM

This is made of Czech glass beads, copper beads and a jade centerpiece. You can't really tell here, but the turtle is looking over it's shoulder smiling at you  Smiley I used a stretchy cord to string it so it would fall very casually and another thing you can't tell is how brilliantly it catches the light. The little glass beads after the white opaque beads are clear on one side and gold filled on the other.

It's my first time using crimp beads and findings (both are sterling silver.)

I'm pretty content with how it came out.  Cool Sorry I'm so long winded... Thanks for looking!

9  Sewing supply storage in Completed Projects by shes_cleva on: May 30, 2007 10:05:51 AM

I just started sewing again I'd say a month ago. I bought this 3 dollar kit that came in a huge cumbersome (did I mention ugly red plastic) case.

I saw this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=30375.msg257193#msg257193 and thought up a good use for the flower pot that's been sitting on my dresser for the last 2 years. (although mine obviously isn't as adorable Smiley ) The fabric I used was an old hat and some ill fitting pj's. The "yo=yo"  helps me find where I put the needle so I don't end up sticking with myself so often.

10  Button up headband in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by shes_cleva on: May 14, 2007 07:07:05 PM
I haven't sewn anything in about 13 years. I was inspired to make my own when I fell in love with an African print headband at Free People selling for 20+ dollars.  Huh So I cut off a strip of my favorite fabric, broke out my 3 dollar sewing kit, and this is what I came up with:

closure (I usually wear it to the side)

My camera doesn't capture great pictures at night so sorry about the blur.  Tongue
