1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Crochet Socks on: April 15, 2008 03:13:35 PM
So sorry that it took me so long to get back to you!!  This last month has been insane.  Anyway, it was in her blog...I was able to find it because I remember it was  a Christmas blog post.  Here is the link for the December archives of her blog:

Thanks for all the compliments! Cheesy
They are pretty comfy and they were pretty quick to make (two evenings).  But they are a bit bulky, so they aren't for wearing under shoes.  Well I suppose I could but I'd have to loosen up my laces a bit.  I used a worsted weight, medium thickness...not sure if it would be a 3 or 4, since I got the yarn from a friend who removed the label!

I made these using a pattern from knitsonya.com, and adapting it a bit.  I only wish I had made them at the beginning of winter!  One of my friends told me that yarn socks + baby powder + wood floors = lots of fun, but I haven't tried it yet! Roll Eyes

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Mini Cork Board on: February 22, 2008 12:50:42 PM
I can't take credit for this, I saw the idea on yummygoods.com...but I had an old frame that I couldn't bring myself to throw away, and after painting it white, it worked perfectly for this.

The papers are from Heartwarming Vintage...I love their stuff.

This is a collage/illustration that I made on a wood block to make sure that I keep a good attitude for 2008, and know that no matter what life throws at me this year, I can handle it.
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: pillow cases (I stink at sewing!) on: January 10, 2008 10:30:25 AM
Thanks!  My cat is pretty easy to please!  Smiley
I modified a pattern that I had seen in a book for the front of the pillow.  I love patterns like that.
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / pillow cases (I stink at sewing!) on: January 10, 2008 10:14:59 AM
I made two pillow cases for the throw pillows in our living room.  The red matches our accent walls, and the blue is a little lighter than the other walls, but the closest I could find.  Anyway, I used an envelope backing for the pillows, but the first one didn't quite fit, so the envelope is spread open a bit.  Then I sewed the back of the second pillow on backwards!  But hey, as long as nobody flips them over they look just fine!
