11  Re: Stitch Marker Swap in The Swap Gallery by bruisedpeach22 on: September 17, 2007 09:22:48 PM
I'm glad you liked everything! I don't know if you've noticed this yet but the ghosts glow in the dark. ( thanks to LuxieLou and her halloween bracelet for the idea) The blue and green amorphous blobs are teeny tiny sheep btw. I received today too and am working on uploading pics right now.

I love them all! especially the patriotic ones she made to remind me of my fiance in iraq. The box is has velvet is the bottom and is already holding the other stitchmarkers i got from another swap. There were also some supercute knitting notecards which i'm taking pics of now. Thanks crochetadikt!!!!

I received today from susanab. I love everything!!!
First, the full shot. I'm not sure what i'll use the pouch for yet. Maybe to hold liver treats for walks.

The other side of the stitch markers- so unexpected! I <3 them!!!

Thank you susanab!

14  Pink rectangles book cover- third ever sewing project and my own pattern!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by bruisedpeach22 on: September 03, 2007 01:14:39 PM
This took me way longer than it really should have but it's finally done! It took me forever because i'm terrible at figuring out the assembly order. It's not actually quite done yet, i still need to sew the opening closed and put on a closure. I think i'm just going to do velcro for this one. next one i make will have a magnetic closure. I'd love to hear any comments/critique. ( Don't hold back on the critiques please, i need the help!) Even though it's no where near perfect I'm still quite proud of it.

Oh and please ignore the wrinkles. I was really excited to post it!

Teddybearbones received from me a while ago and since she hasn't had a chance to post pics, I'm going to go ahead and do it.

They were based on pair of cherry earrings I saw on her wist. I tried to put leaves on them but every one I tried looked really strange.

Glow in the dark yarn!? That's amazing!

I got my ott today too. I got an amazing clay covered altoid that combines ALL of my most favorite things...pink, polka dots and anchors. I had no idea it was possible to love one tiny thing sooo much!

You can't see it in the pictures but the blue is super sparkly

Thanks again Luxielou!

20  Clay strength in thin sheets? in Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions by bruisedpeach22 on: August 03, 2007 11:27:32 AM
I want to try making earrings similar to these but as I have very little experience with polymer clay, I'm not sure if the clay would be strong enough. Has anyone tried anything similar to this? Are different types of clay stronger? I'm currently using sculpey but I can easily get premo or fimo if those would work better. Thanks everyone!!!
