25  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Can I use iron-on transfers for a reversible garment?? on: December 08, 2008 05:47:03 AM
A friend asked me to number her soccer team's reversible jerseys.  No problem, right?  I've done lots of stenciling, so numbers should be a breeze.  Well, since the jerseys are this super breathable material (kind of meshy, with tiny holes) paint goes right through to the other side.  They want to be able to wear the jerseys both ways, so unless they want the numbers backwards on the second side (they don't) stenciling is out.  Would I be able to use an inkjet iron on for this project?  If I ironed on the image to one side of the jersey, waited for it to cool then did the other side would it ruin the first side?

Thanks for any help!
