31  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Crochet gnome on: December 18, 2007 02:21:26 PM
I love him, and I don't like gnomes. I made this for my father in law (who is not a fan of gnomes, but this is a running joke in our family now). I found the pattern on the Internet and could probably find it again if someone was interested....

32  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / More felt monsters! on: December 18, 2007 02:17:25 PM
Hi I received all my inspiration for these creatures from here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=206048.0

Thank you maggiedotcom!!!!

They are Christmas Presents for a few little cousins. The one with the star is my favorite and is for my son. I'm so glad I don't have to send the monster away, I think I would miss him:)

Comments or suggestions are welcome.!!
33  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crocheted Lump of Coal???????????? on: December 11, 2007 06:44:31 AM
OK. So, I really though I had seen a crocheted lump of coal on here. Now that I'm looking, I may have imagined it all. maybe I'm just thingking there should be one. Has anyone seen this? Has anyone ever done this. I'm new to crochet, so making it up as I go probably isn't a good idea. Please help!!!
34  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Yarn type on: November 27, 2007 03:19:53 PM
Hello! I have a yarn without a label. Is there any way to tell what kind of yarn it is?
35  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / First crochet project on: November 21, 2007 06:45:21 AM
So, I'm learning to crochet and knit at the same time. I think I may be confusing myself, but I think this scrarf turned out well anyway. I got this yarn for VERY cheap on craigslist. If you look closely there's a very slight blueish green color mixed in, it's really pretty and long enough to wrap around my neck and still come almost to my hips.....I'm proud, can't wait to learn to make the hat to match!!!
36  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Second project. Yay Christmas!!!! on: November 15, 2007 06:34:13 AM

My second knitting project. I made a washcloth. if you look close enough, you can see the Christmas Stocking pattern. I like it, and was thinking of making them for family members, but i realized there are only about 4 weeks till Christmas, so this one will be mine and everyone else will have to wait till next year:) I'm so excited about knitting right now, it scares me. How is this so addictive?!
37  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My very first washcloth on: November 10, 2007 07:42:39 AM
OK, I know everyone here has done a lot more advanced stuff. But I just tried knitting for the first time two days ago, so I'm pretty proud of myself. It's just two different stitches and I used the wrong kind of yarn (I should have used a solid collor so that the skull and crossbones would show up better) but I feel I'm learning:) I even figured out how to fix soething I messed up in the middle! I did count wrong a couple of times, but I'm sure I can blame my husband and 2 1/2 year old for that part:) Any pointers are greatly appreciated! Thanks to all craftsters who have already helped with advice!

Sorry about the blurry pics. my camera works best with flash and flash made this look worse Undecided
38  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Provo Craft Ergonomic Crochet Needle set on: November 07, 2007 07:10:32 AM
Hello, I have rheumatoid arthritis, but would love to crochet. I know from experience that my hands get stiff and I get tense and I would like to scream, but there are so many cool patterns out there, that I must find a way!! While searching for the Susan Bates hybrid needles online, I found this contraption by provo craft. Has anyone tried it? Any pointers?
