Really really like the glazing on that first bowl.

Those are adorable! And I think I prefer them to the inspiration.
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: NES controller pillow on: May 18, 2012 03:32:15 AM
That's both awesome and adorable. I'd best not show it to the husband.
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Dino-wreath on: November 27, 2011 12:20:22 PM
I was going to knit a wreath for our front door, but realized I wasn't going to have time. So I had another idea...

I wrapped a styrolite ring with dark green yarn I had left over from an old project, and put some hobby glue on the back to steady it up. Then I wrapped it with some shiny red ribbon, and stuck in berries. Then, obviously, I glued on tiny dinosaurs.

(I bought the dinosaurs on ebay a few weeks ago with the idea to make Christmas tree ornaments with them - I have a bunch left.)

I really like this - how is it propped up?
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Green stripy tea cozy (totally ironic, I swear...) on: January 11, 2008 03:05:42 PM
addicted2knitting, I just did some basic figuring of increases and fit, and kept the pot next to me on the couch to make sure it was fitting well every now and then. And it slips on very easily, sort of over one protrusion at a time - first I slip one hole over the spout, and then it's stretchy enough at the bottom to go over the handle. I wouldn't feel brave enough to trust the top to keep the lid on, though...

lelah, that's an amusing description!

I love the outside! So cool!

For a second I thought the third picture was of the inside of the bowl... Smiley

Hee, thanks all - but it's not cute! It's macho and post-something...

OK, it's cute.

Yes, yes, that's totally what I was doing!
