1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Dancer Swap Gallery on: August 29, 2007 09:16:23 PM
This is soooo fun to see something that was sitting on my kitchen table a couple of weeks ago.  We ended up ordering a digital camera (which hopefully will arrive by
Sat.) and I can post what aeronberry sent!
2  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Pads for the Curvy Gal...Tutorial on: August 19, 2007 08:20:08 PM
There is no smell, except the natural smell of having a period. It would be pretty hard to smell that if you change a pad regularly.  Our society somehow makes us think we have to mask everything.  Just rinse the fresh blood from the pads and you won't have any odor problems.  Since I'm not spending a fortune throwing pads away, I actually change cloth pads more often than I did with disposable ones.  I'm not throwing the money away and it's so easy just to put a fresh one on when I go to the bathroom.
3  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: DANCER SWAP(SIGNUP 23 June 07-7 July 07;MAIL BY 13th August 07) CLOSED on: August 09, 2007 10:06:17 PM
I haven't been on Craftster for a week or so and you all about gave me a heart attack with the mention of the 7th.  Had the 13th on my calendar and I need to email my swap buddy to get an address.

Whew!  I would have hated to be late with my first swap.
4  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Pink & White Sundress I made for my 5 yr. old niece on: August 05, 2007 11:57:35 PM
That's really sweet and she looks like a sweety wearing, too!
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: nursing/breastfeeding pads. on: July 27, 2007 05:36:32 PM
As a mom of four, I'd have to disagree with mylovelybabybump.  They worked great for me.  So, I would encourage new mom's to at least give them a try.  I hated, hated, hated disposable nursing pads.  They crunched up and ended up in a little lump in the bottom of my bra.
6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: An old laptop? on: July 27, 2007 05:09:26 PM
I really don't think it's wise to take this thing apart.  It really is full of some toxic things.  Probably would be better to do some research first.  We aren't even allowed to put them in the landfill here.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Baby Dress, Day of The Dead/Sugar Skulls fabric on: July 20, 2007 07:34:06 PM
So cute.

Now...will someone please tell me about sugar skulls?  I understand Day of the Dead, but I never heard of sugar skulls until I started reading craftster.

I'm feeling so old these days.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Kinda a cheytown dress...kinda... on: July 19, 2007 05:28:19 PM
I think matchy, matchy has it's place.  They look wonderful.  I wish I had done some matchy, matchy while my kids were young enough to be willing to wear them.  Now, they are all too big and too "cool."
9  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Bridesmaid Reconstruction to Jr. formal dress on: July 19, 2007 05:20:12 PM
Wonderful use for those unused bridesmaid's dresses.  Your dd looks great.
10  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: And then there were two! 2 Pillowcase dresses and an ode to bias tape making on: July 16, 2007 02:28:49 AM
I just quickly pulled these pics from eBay.  Do a search for vintage emb. pillow cases and many will come up.  I noticed they had several lots, where you wouldn't end up with a pair.  The odd pillowcase would be perfect.

I've been purchasing them from eBay for several years, but it looks like I'm going to have to pull them off the beds and put them to different uses.  My dd is 10 and tall.  The dress wouldn't work for her, but I was thinking I could shir a few rows at the top and make her a top.  Or even just make a casing for under the bust area and create a scalloped neck.

Hmmm.  I'll have to give a try on a plain one first.
