Challenge: Riding the Knight Bus
House: Hufflepuff
Project Name: Crocheted Amethyst Scarf
Brief Description: I crocheted this scarf that will not be easily spotted as a recording device. It should blend in with the Knight Bus quite well.
Project Picture:

(My shirt says "Craft ninja armed with pointy objects" and he has knitting needles in one hand and scissors in the other. An awesome Christmas gift from my mom!)

33  Charmander Hat in Knitting: Completed Projects by TheBrokenButterfly on: May 16, 2012 09:46:37 AM
My boyfriend has been asking for a charmander hat for quite some time and I have now made him one Smiley This is also my project for the Care of Magical Creatures in the 2012 Summer Semester Harry Potter Craftalong. I found a pattern that I liked for the hat and then came up with the rest on my own (arms, legs, face, and tail). All of it is knitted except the face, claws, and fire on the tail which are sewed on pieces of felt.

Him in the hat.

Closeup of the face.

Side view while wearing the hat.

Back view while wearing the hat.

A better view of the legs.

I had a lot of fun coming up with the characteristics of this hat. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking!

37  Re: Yarnies Scavenger Hunt R6 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by TheBrokenButterfly on: March 05, 2012 02:59:36 PM
I was so excited when I heard a knock on my door and it was the mailman with my package!!

Everything was wrapped in this paper together:

Past that paper was this adorable bag that contained all of my goodies!

Detail on the side of the bag:

This also counted as something related to the letter "t" (totes).

Everything inside of the bag:

A Batman postcard! He is my favorite superhero ever so I was super excited to see this.

Something Funny: A knitting journal that says "I knit; therefore, I rock!" Not only is it cute, it also has the correct usage of a semicolon!

Another tote. This is my favorite thing in the package! I had actually been wanting a hook holder and did not even mention this to A2K!

Something green: Thrifted hooks! You can never have too many!

Something round: Stitch markers and a row counter!
Something hard: Yarn needles! I lose these a lot so this is awesome xD
Also some grippers for my crochet hooks to make them more comfy to use Smiley

Something local: A Yooper Bar! Chocolate O_O I cannot wait to eat this. A2K says that a yooper is someone from the upper peninsula of Michigan!

Sender's Choice: Handspun yarn! The leftmost is spun by A2K herself and is so pretty!!

I love everything in my package, and I've already filled the smaller tote with all of my hooks! Thank you so much for an awesome first swap, A2K and Kayrun!!!!

Here are some hats I've made for my boyfriend, David. The Goomba one was for Christmas but the Link one was just for fun. Smiley

This one is based on this pattern.

To make this one I combined this pattern with the Goomba chart in this pattern.

And here is him making a silly face when I try to take his picture  Cheesy

40  University of Alabama Pillow in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by TheBrokenButterfly on: February 12, 2011 09:09:01 AM
My friend will be going off to the University of Alabama soon and he has always been an avid fan. He asked me to make him an Alabama pillow and, although I'm an Auburn fan, I reluctantly agreed Tongue I think it turned out quite nicely.

Here's the front and back. It is just made out of felt and then stuffed.
