1  Mario Themed Wedding (Plus handmade bouquet) in Weddings and Bridal Showers by TheBrokenButterfly on: December 25, 2013 11:30:42 PM
I got married December 14th, 2013. I decided that my bridesmaids were gonna hold fire flowers instead of traditional flowers, and it ended up developing into a full blown Mario themed wedding! I handmade the bridesmaids' flowers, groomsmen's boutonnieres, and my bouquet. I found the jewelry for my bridesmaids on Etsy, and ordered the costumes for Mario and Peach from a wholesale store after Halloween was over.

My bouquet:

Fire flowers:

Bridesmaids' jewelry (which also had matching earrings):

Mario and Peach!! (ring bearer and flower girl):

The whole wedding party:

Thank you so much for looking! It was a wonderful day and I'm so grateful to be married to my amazing husband. Cheesy

Opened the package and got to the real deal!!

Yummy goodness:

A Christmas sweater magnet:

Some pretty fabric and ribbon (I asked for fabric, yay!)

A Christmas hat:

And my absolute favorite, the main piece, this awesome giraffe painting (also on my 5 Christmas wishes!). It has amazing texture! I love it so much!

Thanks so much, ThriftyLiving4U! Merry Christmas in July!

I received from isolatedpoptart yesterday!

Now I have two witchy paintbrushes. Cheesy Her lips are my favorite part.

Here are the extras she sent:

Two headbands, a pen that closes up to look like a pill, a brooch on a Pokemon card, a button ring with a spool of thread on it, and I think the cloud is a pin cushion (correct me if I'm wrong, isolatedpoptart!). It's super cute regardless.

Thanks isolatedpoptart!

7  Re: Morsbag Round 2 Swap--GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by TheBrokenButterfly on: June 13, 2013 05:12:23 PM
Wow, I love those kitty portraits!!

Today I had my first day of work at a new job, got treated to frozen yogurt by my boyfriend, and then came home to my amazing package from skatergirl1007! So it was a pretty awesome day, if I do say so myself.

First, the morsbag.

It's Batman!! My all time favorite superhero!! Ahh!

I thought it couldn't get any better, until I pulled out this Umbrella Corporation (from Resident Evil) ornament! I was very excited about this.

And last, but certainly not least, is this giraffe painting.

Thank you skatergirl1007, I loved everything! And thanks to Leslieshappyheart and susanab for an awesome swap! Cheesy

I received from Susanab yesterday and I love it!

Here's the whole package together:

She combined two of my themes (Halloween and Pokemon) for the paintbrush. The brush is actually a Pokemon Racer Speed Broom, and a Halloween witch to ride it!

She's wearing a bat dress, which is awesome because I love bats Cheesy

Here's some detail of the brush:

She also included a travel sewing kit that looks like a suitcase:

And lastly, she also sent this little unicorn puzzle eraser. It comes all apart. It's super neat and very cute!

Thank you so much Susan!

10  Space Dress in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by TheBrokenButterfly on: May 09, 2013 01:28:20 PM
A few weeks ago, I went to Hobby Lobby to get an easel. I left Hobby Lobby with four yards of fabric, a new dress pattern, new needles for my sewing machine, and no easel. Thus, the space dress was born!

Upon opening the pattern and beginning to cut out the pieces, I discovered that it has pockets. I fell in love all over again!

I also love the collar.

I made this dress from Simplicity pattern 1755. Thanks for looking!
