Sorry, Raquel. I didn't take pictures. I usually have at least a couple, but for some reason didn't take any this time around. *kicks herself* However, I have, at long last, uploaded the pictures of what I received. She sent me a comfy, padded mouse mat which works best with my tablet, and keeps my poor wrist from getting uncomfortable, since I tend to lean it against the corner of my desk. I was working with the tablet this weekend, and loved how soft the mat was. She also sent a few cool necklaces (with toggle clasps, which are my favorite clasp type). And, for my favorite... The backup disc box, painted just that Blue Screen of Death shade that strikes fear into the heart of anyone who hasn't recently backed up their work. On the top is one lonely cursor to match the pendant she sent. Thanks, Raquel! I'll go through my photos again one more time to see if I really took any pictures of what I sent you, but I don't think I have any.

Koi! Kitties! Bats! I really need to go through and wist this swap. I would so go for a bat swap. When JennyBrown posted Henrietta Hedgehog, I was thinking, "Aww, cute. I want a hedgehog!" Well... Meet Tumna and his mouse friend, Ping, sent by AngryAngel. Right now, they're happily chilling in our front garden. Tumna loves autumn, so he can find slugs in the cool damp (like me...but with slugs), and he doesn't like fairies because they like to tease him. But Ping comes to his rescue by throwing blackberries at them. They brought along a bag of white chocolate mice. Yum. Thanks, AngryAngel! They're adorable. These guys are cute. I love how they both have a look on their face like: "Crap. How'd we lose a tree?" Yeah...any characters I create tend to find themselves in a weird situation...ever since I first read Douglas Adams' stuff and it clicked that nothing was sacred in the sci-fi/fantasy realm (or a bunch of other ones, for that matter).

I'm loving the stuff posted so far. I received this week from SevsOnlyGirl...lots of great things, large and small Tea and teacups (both for my collection), coasters for said teacups, lipbalm and lotions, a tin of comfits (or Yoga Girl mints...I'm still searching for a Pilates Girl one...it must exist somewhere), Queen pens, an illustrated copy of Alice in Wonderland, Jabberwocky magnetic poetry (sorry about the fuzzy pic)... And... An Alice quilt! And a pillow form and fabric matching the quilt so I can make my own matching pillow. I'm sure I missed naming something...there was so much. Thanks, SevsOnlyGirl!

Re: Fill-a-Box Supply Swap 5 (aka: The End of Summer Fill a Box Swap) in The Swap Gallery by halfelvenwriter

You're welcome, knuckstermom...I love going through my stash for supply swaps. I pull out all the stuff I want to see go to new homes, and sit on my bed and sort through it, picking things out and saying, "I think my partner would like this...and this...and this..." Though by the time I've filled the box, I'm still left with a pile of stuff that would work so well for supply packages. At long last...pictures of the packages I got this week from annaonthemoon and zenochka Beads, floss, and all around a little of everything (including a pair of scissors!) from annaonthemoon: Fabric (different prints than I usually add to my stash) and notions (hand and sewing machine needles!) from zenochka: Thanks! It's beaded art dolls, embroidery, and sewing projects for me...if I can get my renfaire costume finished and teach my little brother how to sew his.

Re: DIY KIT Round 9 in The Swap Gallery by halfelvenwriter

Trust me, the bag kit is FANTASTIC!
I got the coolest fabric in my Messenger Bag Kit!!!
And it even came with a tote bag! All paisleys! *swoon* A binder to hold it all in, thread, fabric, even needles for my sewing machine!
Thank you so so so so so so much halfelvenwriter!!! Excellent Job!
Awesome! I'm not an orange or paisley person, so I'm wandering around JoAnn's with this bolt of orange fabric, trying to find one to go with it, and I ended up asking the lady at the cutting counter, "I know this is a stupid question, but does this solid brown go with this orange paisley?" So glad you love everything. 7/15 [Edited since I was the last person to post, making it silly to start a new post]: I found Mlsocci74's bottlecap jewelry/magnet kit on my doorstep today when I got home! She included a ton of great stuff to get me started: Paper glaze to fill the caps with, a hole punch, magnets, pin backs, jump rings (which I always seem to misplace just when I need them), a tube of the legendary E6000 glue, tons of add-ins (oooh, roses), cute printed designs for inside the caps, and enough caps to make a bunch of necklaces, pins, and magnets. I'd love to get started now, but it's not far to 1:00AM over here on the East Coast, so I'd better get some sleep first. Thanks, Mlsocci74

Re: Fill A Purse Swap 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by halfelvenwriter

I received from Pretty Hate Machine over the weekend, and I've taken the purse she made around with me all week. I love pinstripes, it's zippered (I'm still working up the nerve to put in zippers, so I'm in awe of people who can), the handles are black lace, and it holds everything I want it to and more. Inside, there was a velvet pouch for my iPod A velvet pouch that comfortably holds my books A keychain A bag of salmiakki (salty licorice) that I tried, liked, googled, and found out is hard to find around here. I'm on a quest to find more. And a Finnish newspaper. Altair, you're not the only one who's been going, "Ooh, pretty words." Though then I went all fantasy geek and started explaining to my family that Tolkien modeled Quenya on Finnish, and that killed any shared interest in looking at the paper. Thanks, Pretty Hate Machine!

All right, I've been so selfish, keeping my awesome package all to myself for all this time. So, without further delay, here's what Spiderbite sent me: A Marooned Survival Kit! Everything came packed in the piratey woodburned box. And the message in a bottle, which I had to scan and show you, because it's so cool: So, sorry about not posting pics sooner...it definitely wasn't due to lack of excitement! Thanks, Spiderbite!

I've been very tardy with swap pictures. I actually received from laminathegreat last Saturday, but have only uploaded the pictures tonight. These pictures! I told her I wanted motivation to work on my scarf, so she sent a t-shirt, a needle pouch, stitch markers (well, I see pin, but think stitch markers, because I immediately said, "I need to put these on wire loops and mark my hat rounds with them!) featuring my two favorite Doctors, and some sugar and tea for late night knitting energy. Close up of the pin/stitch markers and the t-shirt: Also, there was a bag of Cocoa Spice tea, but I already drank that on Sunday, then went out over break on Monday to buy a whole box of it, which has been my main tea at work and at home this week. Thanks a lot, laminathegreat. I have plenty of motivation, now
