941  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: My cute little happy chimps on: June 17, 2007 08:45:56 PM
Thanks. The clay color was flesh.. formed the bodies baked then used liquid polymer to attach shaved fur re-baked. Then highlighted with some watered down acrylic paint. Honestly getting the hair on took the longest.

I love the way these two turned out. I usually do polymer jewelry, creatures, and hair things these are my first "real" animals. Hope you like.

944  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Sooo easy metal bulletin board with easy magnets on: June 17, 2007 08:28:42 PM
I've been wanting to put a bulletin board in my craft room. I figured a simple trip to Lowe's will fix it. After wandering the aisles I ended up in the plumbing department and I found this there. I thing it has something to do with ventilation? Perfect size and a ridged top to support a way to hang it. Kids and I cut out some video game magazines to make the magnets. I just grabbed some extra self adhesive linoleum tile. Stuck it on and glued a magnet to the back. A lot of explanation for a really easy project.

945  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / A rose bouquet pin cushion on: June 17, 2007 08:15:56 PM
This started out with just messing around with some scrap felt. I hate wasting anything. So scrap felt into pin cushion. TADA!

I'll have to take a look this weekend and see.
I hate moving and trying to find new craft/sewing stores again.

Thanks!
I like to make purses so I lean towards unusual fabrics.

Looks great. Did you do it all free-hand?
949  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: My new purse hanger on: June 09, 2007 08:54:13 AM
Thanks so much.
I have white walls through the whole house so I look for different ways to add more interest to them.
950  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My new purse hanger on: June 08, 2007 02:13:51 PM
I love sewing purses but I was running out of room to store them in. So I decided to find a accordion coat hanger to display them on. I looked high and low and the only one I could find was rainbow. So I repainted it and then accessorized it. The grey may seem a bit dim but I redid my craft room in grey tones with touches of red.
