very cute. one of my regrets about the fact i don't/won't have a boy is that robots are sooooo awesome. not that my girls cannot wear robots, but it's not quite the same.

thank you! you are my hero! i have a couple of skirts from last year's unfinished recons that i'd planned on doing something similar with. i had gotten as far as putting elastic through at the waistband, but then i was stuck stuck stuck. the wide ribbon and buttons are BRILLIANT! now maybe i can finally finish these. whooopie! thanks for the inspiration. did you change the shape at the original waistline at all, or does it hang that way because of the attached ribbon? it looks fabulous!

they don't look wonky to me. i've been coveting those kimono dresses, too, but am not anywhere near to trying to figure out how to do that. so hooray for you! they turned out great.
