Holy best day to have the flu ever, Batman!

 I was laying in bed feeling miserable when the doorbell rang and it was my friendly mail lady with my swap box! Yay! Talk about instantly forgetting all aches, pains, and soreness! I ripped the box open and found a treasure trove of happiness Smiley







 Usually I'm a 1960's - 70's gal design wise, but I am insanely excited about the 1980's magazines. How could I have already forgotten how campy some of those styles were?!

 I can't wait to feel better so I can send off my partner's box and make their day as good as mine is now Smiley I could write 2 paragraphs of ideas I have from this loot.

 I am so proud of this bag. I agonized over it for weeks and decided at the last minute to add the decorative stitching. The decorative stitching is machine done with a varigated cotton rainbow thread and a transparent nylon thread on the bottom. All the swatches of fabric are from the wall hanging I'm working on and I love it! It's lined with muslin and it has a braided brown latigo strap to pull it closed.

 I just wanted to share this because I think everyone here can appreciate how you feel after a project like this is finished.

Hello quilters!

 This is my first quilted anything. It's a cute rainbow progression crazy quilted wall hanging. As you can see, I'm not finished with the hand embroidery and there is no border. The border is the issue here. I cannot for the life of me find the fabric I want to use because I think it doesn't exist. I want to find a rainbow stripe cotton with bold colors. I can find pastel and black with rainbow stripes, but I can't find just striped.

 So I have settled on the yellow, but I just don't know if I like it. Please take a look and offer some advice. I just put the top on the fabric for the picture's sake. I've driven all the ladies at the local fabric stores crazy with this. You're my last hope!

 Any and all input is greatly appreciated!
