1  Polaroid Cam & Pic in CHALLENGE 18 ENTRIES by Keptastic on: May 01, 2007 05:25:41 PM
My first challenge!  I chose to recreate the likeness of a polaroid camera and picture just for fun!  Hope you like it.  I had a blast making this.

Its stuffed with Fiber Fill, and has cardboard on the inside for support where the flash, shutter, and view finder are. I used rhinestones for those details.  Everything was either handstitched or glued on with Tacky Glue.  The picture was made of felt with the faces painted with acrylic.

The actual camera I copied

Here is the back of the camera.

And the inspiration for the photo  Smiley

Please let me know what you think.

2  Magazine Art inspired by "Where the Streets Have No Name" by U2 in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Keptastic on: April 20, 2007 04:50:44 PM
While in Navy tech school, I was lucky enough to be roommates with another crafty chick.  We were contstantly making projects.  Here is one I made about 5 years ago.

Ever since I can remember, I've had this picture in my head everytime I heard the song, "Where the Streets Have No Name" by U2.  I used a poster board, magazine clippings, and glue to illustrate the first verse of the song.  I wish I had used decoupage, but this was before I even knew what that was.

Sorry for the blurry photos.  Again, I wish I'd used decoupage b/c its covered with clear packing tape which doesn't make for a good protector......Oh, the mistakes inexperienced crafters make!!

3  Swirly Birds collage in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Keptastic on: April 19, 2007 09:50:21 PM
Ok, here is my first post on here. (My sis got me on here  Smiley ) and I'm so nervous I'm going to break a rule or something.  I'm pretty certain this would go under the Paper Craft section.  If I'm wrong, please be gentle!  Undecided

This is a collage that I made because the area above my couch was bare.  I used tea stained paper as the birds.

Other materials that I used were paint and wall compound for texture.
