31  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Springy Flower Bag on: April 23, 2007 02:25:29 PM
Please excuse the messy sewing, this is my second bag  Smiley

Oh and btw, I stole the cute fabric from an old skirt and the pink lining used to be a prom dress, I didn't think it belonged in recon since I pretty much just cut out the fabric. :-D

What do you think?

I learned to knit from reading "Knitting and Crocheting for Dummies" and I'm still working on it but this is my first completed project...

It's a cute bag with some glass beads that I just love, sorry I couldn't get a good pic of the beads!

35  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Suggestions? on: April 21, 2007 03:29:00 AM
I'm quite new to craftster and I became SO inspired to make something cute to wear that I went out and bought a sewing machine!  Great idea in theory until I decided to make a shirt from a skirt that no longer fit properly...well lets just say I butchered the poor cute skirt that I probably could have worn again as soon as I lose 10 more lbs...anyway, I was wondering if you have any ideas on patterns, and tutorials that are good for a beginner and that are flowy tops...I like tank top/spaghetti strap shirts that flow down and hide my tummy.  Ideas??
