I made some for my daughter last year and she loved them.  I got socks at the dollar store.  They were cheap and are still in one piece for this winter.

My 3rd grader decided the bags at school were not "cool" enough. He picked the fabric and I made the bag, modeled by hubby.

What is the weight limit on those?  Our three year old is tiny, barely 30 lbs.  I would love to be able to put her in one of those at nap time when we are at water parks this summer.
