1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Bound w/ a Bow Hat on: November 24, 2009 09:50:32 PM
Wow, it's been awhile since I posted anything of my own. My DD needed a new hat, and this is what we came up with. It was simple and pretty quick to make. I posted a pattern of it on my blog if you're interested.

Let me know what you think! Thanks!

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby Blanket with Flowers on: July 11, 2007 04:31:11 PM
Alright here is my first post of something I've made. I had to hurry and take pics because this is a gift for my sister-in-law's baby and I am giving to her soon. The photos aren't really the greatest (the lighting and the angles are pretty bad and don't do it justice) so sorry, but I wanted to get them taken while I still had the chance.

Here is the blanket:

and here I tried to get more of a close-up:
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Can someone help me? on: July 10, 2007 07:59:33 AM
I made a blanket for my sister-in-law's baby and have some left over yarn so I was thinking of making her a matching hat. Obviously I can't measure her head, but I do have a pretty good idea of what the size of the hat should be so it will fit her in a couple of months when it starts getting cooler.  I want the hat to be a little flexible so it can stretch a little to fit her head. Here is my dilemma. I crochet really tightly and my first attempt had no give at all and seemed like it would be difficult getting onto a squirming baby's head. So is there something I can do to make the hat more "stretchy" (can't think of a better word)? Would increasing the hook size work or would that just make it bigger?
